Abstract/Summary:
Performance evaluation is indispensable for modern enterprise management,and is the core of human resource management.However,nowadays,in China’s highway construction industry,traditional personnel management still dominates the human resource management,focusing on "things" instead of "people" without paying attention to the cultivation and development,evaluation and incentive of employees.Therefore,it is difficult to motivate employees while severely hinders the core competitiveness of the enterprise,and even affects the upgrading of the technical level and service capabilities of the highway industry.Due to the lack of emphasis on performance evaluation,there is not much research in academia on performance evaluation of the grass-roots employees of highway engineering companies.CT Highway Engineering Co.,Ltd.is a state-owned construction company,the performance evaluation system of which started late with a superficial 360-degree appraisal method.In order to reverse the passive situation and conform to economic development,it is necessary to adjust and improve the performance evaluation method to make it scientific and reasonable,so as to motivate employees to work and improve corporate efficiency.This article,starting with performance evaluation,firstly elaborates the current research and application of performance evaluation theory at home and abroad,and sorts out basic theoretical knowledge about performance evaluation contents and methods.Secondly,it analyzes the performance evaluation plan of the current grassroots employees of CT Highway Engineering Company.Through questionnaire survey,the following problems are found and analyzed: the evaluation system of CT Highway Engineering Company was not sound without any clear assessment indicators;the evaluation system neglects the feedback and application of evaluation result.Secondly,an improvement plan for the performance evaluation of the grassroots employees of CT Highway Engineering Company was proposed,that is,refine the index content of the grassroots employees’ evaluation based on the four dimensions of the balanced scorecard;quantify the weight of the evaluation by the Delphi method;attaches importance to performance feedback through performance interviews and other methods and uses the valuation results in various aspects.Finally,corresponding measures are put forward to ensure the smooth implementation of the performance evaluation improvement plan.This article expected that,by improving the performance evaluation plan of CT highway engineering company and promoting its management of enterprise performance evaluation,the comprehensive quality of employees will be improved with competitive working skills while the enterprise?s operation and management as well as external competitiveness will be enhanced,so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win for employees and the company.
