Energy is an important material basis for economic and social development.With world energy consumption of the ecological environment is fast growing,sustainable development of human society is seriously threatened.Thus,all nations are giving more and more attention to the exploitation and utilization of new energy.Among a serious of new energy programs,nuclear,solar,wind and geothermal and etc.,wind power receives worldwide interest and support because of its environmental friendly,efficiency,clean and low-carbon properties.Europe,the United States and China are the main promoters and leaders of the global wind power industry development,global wind power industry has developed very quickly,because the wind power industry is not only able to generate significant social benefits,it also brings a variety of economic benefits.The article provides an in-depth analysis of internal and external environment of the wind power industry and identifies its opportunities and threats by using traditional strategic analysis tools such as PEST analysis and Michael Porter's Five Forces Model.The key resources and core competencies of Chengxi are analyzed before its main strengths and weaknesses are identified.From view of international market,the article analysis the wind business development status of main country locate in North America,Europe and Asia pacific and study the competitive strategy of Chengxi's wind tower business division based on continues growth of world energy demand,enabling the enterprises to fast expansion and sustainable development so as to win more orders in future market.The article then propose alternative strategies through SWOT analysis by drawing on Porter's basic competitive strategy model,fixes on the differentiation strategy for Chengxi's wind tower business based on the development goal and puts forward specific and practical strategic targets for the proposal.Competitive strategy include cost leadership lead create by scale production,specialized production lead by the investment on offshore wind tower facilities based on current available onshore capacity and differentiation lead by full scale production line.The article also suggested following to maximize the efficiency:strengthen the management to control the cost,plan for talent,optimize organization chart,implement requirement of zero quality defect,market development with both domestic and abroad market,enterprise culture maintain and etc.The article applies the theoretical knowledge of strategic management to development strategy study of actual enterprise.The study herein can also be sued as reference to similar strategy-making.
