Research On The Influence Of Kunming Tourism Market On Cigarette Sales

Since the 13 th Five-Year Plan,tourism has been developing rapidly and become an important pillar industry in Kunming.Kunming Tobacco Company is the leading enterprise under Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Company.Tourism not only brings a huge consumer base for cigarette sales in Kunming,but also influences cigarette consumption structure by affecting the disposable income of urban and rural residents in Kunming.Therefore,it is important to systematically study the impact of the tourism market on cigarette sales in Kunming,which will help Kunming Tobacco Company grasp the pattern of cigarette consumption and implement precise marketing.The thesis systematically studied the impact of the tourism market on cigarette consumption in Kunming.It mainly includes: 1.A comprehensive analysis of the differences in cigarette sales volume and structure among districts(counties)in Kunming;2.An analysis of the basic situation of tourism in Kunming and its impact on associated vehicles,especially on the disposable income of urban and rural residents;3.An analysis of the consumption characteristics of the tourist population and their cigarette consumption behavior in Kunming through questionnaires;4.The direct impact of the tourist population on cigarette sales volume and structure in Kunming,and the indirect impact on cigarette consumption structure due to the increase in disposable income of urban and rural residents brought about by tourism.The thesis uses statistical analysis methods,grey prediction methods,co-integration tests and granger causality analysis.The study found that: 1.The volume and structure of cigarette sales in the main urban area of Kunming are much better than those in the distant urban area and the suburban counties,which is related to the fact that the income from tourism mainly contributes to the main urban area.2.Without considering the huge impact of the new crown epidemic on the tourism industry,Kunming's tourism industry still has more room for growth in the future.For every 1% increase in total tourism revenue,the disposable income of urban residents and farmers will increase by 0.4% and 0.5%,respectively;3.The cigarette consumption structure of the tourist population in Kunming is high,with nearly 80%of tourists choosing to buy gift cigarettes;4.The tourist market has a direct impact on the volume and structure of cigarette sales in Kunming,and also indirectly affects the cigarette consumption structure of the local population.The thesis concludes with relevant suggestions to make new contributions to cigarette sales in Kunming.It is suggested that Kunming Tobacco Company should grasp the consumption pattern of tourism market,strengthen the cigarette sales network of tourist attractions,hotels,restaurants and local specialty sales points,increase the development of gift cigarettes and implement precise marketing.
