Iron and steel industry has played an important role in China's economic prosperity and social construction.However,with the development of China,problems such as excess capacity,low industry concentration and uneven quality of iron and steel industry are becoming more and more prominent.In such a grim situation,the state encourages iron and steel enterprises to improve the industry concentration through mergers and acquisitions.Therefore,the SASAC promoted the merger and acquisition of Baosteel by the event has been widely concerned.In this paper,through the study of Baosteel's M&A performance,in view of the problems found in the analysis,from the perspective of management for Baosteel's M&A performance optimization suggestions.It is hoped to provide help for the future operation and management of Baosteel,and also provide some experience and inspiration for mergers and acquisitions among steel enterprises.Based on this,this paper uses the balanced scorecard and the analytic hierarchy process to study the M&A performance of Baosteel.Firstly,appropriate performance evaluation indicators are selected from the four dimensions of the balanced scorecard.Then the pairwise judgment matrix is constructed,and the comprehensive weight of each index is calculated by expert scoring.According to the change range of each performance index before and after the merger,the score is assigned and weighted calculation,and the conclusion is drawn that Baosteel's M&A performance is good.Finally,in view of the shortcomings found in the analysis of specific indicators,this paper puts forward suggestions for Baosteel to optimize the performance of M&A from four dimensions,namely finance,customer,internal process and learning and growth.
