Manchu(The Man Ethnic Group) is one of the ethnic groups boasting a long history and rich cultural connotations in China.It constantly collides and grinds in with the cultural exchanges of all ethnic groups.With the incessant developing course of the headgear from its rudiment to maturation,what also is advancing are its function,practicality,aesthetics,art and culture.In addition to meeting the basic needs of life when dressing with headgears,they pay more attention to the artistic and beauty-appreciation values.Thus,the pursuit of cultural connotation and beauty denotes that ethnic culture gradually advances from the embryonic stage to the stage of maturity and inheritance.For the sake of the formation of the beauty-appreciation,the development of headgear culture is promoted.The origin and development of Manchurian headgear culture embodies the spiritual temperament,aesthetic interest and cultural essence of the Manchurian ethnic group.The present study mainly studies the culture of Manchurian headgear from the following aspects: the origin and development of Manchurian headgear,the types and styles of Manchu headgear,the materials and crafts of Manchu headgear and the cultural connotation and application of Manchurian headgear.Through the study of Manchurian headgear culture,the Ma nchu national culture and national spirit is hoped to be explored.Itis expected that the research content and results contribute to promote the inheritance,development and application of Manchurian headgear cultures.
