The study of gene locus linkage is an important research content in modern population genetics.The classical Haseman-Elston regression analysis method performs well in the linkage analysis of quantitative traits,making it frequently used in the study of family lineage gene linkage analysis of complex traits.At present,most of the research on Haseman-Elston method is based on sibling pair design,and rarely extended to distant relative pairs.However,linkage research is usually not a simple sibling pair design.As far as China is concerned,the post-90 s generation is basically a one-child family.Therefore,it is undoubtedly difficult to do linkage research with the Hasema-Elston method based on sibling pairs in terms of data collection and analysis.If we can find the regression method for general kinship pairs,it will greatly promote the future development of genetic linkage analysis.At present,there is little specific discussion on the design of general relative pairs in the existing literature,so there is room for further research on this kind of problems.This paper extends Haseman-Elston method based on the brother pair and Haseman-Elston method based on the brother pair with the form of mean corrected cross product.We start with theoretical elaboration of the general and mean corrected cross product Haseman-Elston method based on the brother pair and the Haseman-Elston method based on grandchildren pair.Then,we theoretically deduce the mean corrected cross product Haseman Elston method based on grandchildren pair,and compare the power of the four methods under conditions of different recombination rates and heritability.The results show that when the recombination rate is higher than 0.2,the power of the Haseman-Elston method based on grandchildren pair is higher than the other three,and that method have better robustness.The mean corrected cross product Haseman-Elston method based on grandchildren pair proposed in this paper can not only contain linkage information as much as possible,but also has higher inspection efficiency than the mean corrected cross product Haseman-Elston method based on brother pair and Haseman-Elston method based on grandson pair under certain conditions.
