| Objective:School is an important place for students to do physical activity. The level of physical activity in school has an important impact on students’ physical and mental health. As one of the most developed cities in higher education in China,Guangzhou attaches great importance to school education. Therefore, this study objectively measured the amount of physical activity of students in Guangzhou, and understood the current situation and characteristics of physical activity of students in physical education, large break and overall physical activity,so as to provide theoretical reference for schools to better carry out big break physical activity and physical education curriculum and promote the improvement of physical activity level of students in school.Research methods :This study uses a test method,Physical activity(sedentary physical activity-sedentary,light intensity physical activity-LPA,moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity-MVPA)was measured in 133 subjects from grade one primary schools in Guangzhou on five consecutive school days(including the whole school day,20 minutes of physical education break every day, three times a week of physical education)by using three-axis accelerometer GT3X+.The software Actilife(V6.12.0)equipped with GT3X+ was used for data analysis and export, and SPSS 24.0 was used for data processing.Two-waies analysis of variance was used for different genders and grades.One-way analysis was used for different BMI categories.Chi-square test was used to analyze the physical activity standards of students in school.Graph Pad is used to draw graphs of the processed data.Research results:1.The static,LPA and MVPA time of students were 239.3±20.7,50.8±10.9and 56.9±11.9 minutes, respectively. The MVPA time of grade 6 was significantly higher than that of grade 4 and grade 5(P < 0.05).The MVPA time of boys was significantly higher than that of girls(P < 0.01).There was no difference in daily physical activity level among students of different BMI categories(P > 0.05).2.The static time,LPA time,MVPA time were 10.4±2.6,4.7±1.4,4.8±1.7minutes,MVPA1 time and MVPA2 time were 24.36 ± 8.25%,8.66 ± 2.83%,respectively.The MVPA time and MVPA1 of grade 6 students were significantly higher than that of grade 4 and grade 5 students(P < 0.01).MVPA time of male students was significantly higher than that of female students(P < 0.01).3.The static,LPA and MVPA time of students were 21.8±5.8,8.2±2.5 and 10.1±3.5 minutes respectively,MVPA3 and MVPA4 were 25.10±8.72% and 16.27±4.21% respectively. The MVPA time on PE days(61.5 ± 13.3)was significantly higher than that on no PE days(50.4±10.4)(P < 0.01).The LPA and MVPA time of grade 6 students were significantly higher than that of grade 4 and grade 5 students(P< 0.01).The MVPA time and MVPA3 of boys were significantly higher than those of girls(P < 0.01),and there was no significant difference in MVPA4 between boys and girls(P > 0.05).4.The total rate of students’ MVPA time meeting the national recommended 1hour per day was 36%,and the male students’ MVPA time was 39.1%,which was significantly higher than that of female students’ MVPA time was 32.8%(P < 0.01).The achievement rate of students with physical education was significantly higher than that without physical education(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Students’ physical activity time in school every day, between classes and in physical education class is dominated by static physical activity time. Most students’ high-intensity physical activity time in school does not reach the internationally recommended standard of one hour per day.2.Students’ physical activity in school was affected by gender, grade and BMI.In group sports, the level of physical activity increased with the increase of BMI.3.physical education class plays an important role in physical activity in school.Students’ physical activity time with physical education class Day is significantly higher than that without physical education class. The students’ physical activity level is low between classes and in physical education class, and there is still a big gap between the 50% recommended amount of middle and high intensity time in physical education class. |
