With the liberalization of China’s fertility policy,the country has begun to promote the universalization of preschool education,emphasizing the need for children of school age to receive quality preschool education in general,which shows that the importance attached to children’s education is increasing.At the same time,the society and parents have also started to pay more and more attention to the creation of the environment of children’s education space and related concepts,because the creation of children’s education space environment plays a more important role in the early children’s collective activities,and good education space design will influence children’s cognition and development in their learning life.Geometric forms can create a variety of spatial forms and atmospheres according to the different functions and needs of children in educational spaces,and they can also make children’s educational environments more simple,interesting and varied,which is one of the important expression methods in children’s educational space design and other design fields.This paper combines theoretical analysis and practical research,and theoretical analysis and practical case study are supplemented by research and project design,to analyze the practical role and significance of geometric forms in children’s educational space from various aspects,and also to make the relevant research and conclusion more convincing.The first step is to trace the roots of geometric forms,to understand the significance of their emergence and their application in design history.We also analyze and study the development and derivation of the most representative basic geometric forms: square,circle,and triangle.In addition to exploring the characteristics of these geometric forms,we also combine excellent cases of children’s education space design at home and abroad with theoretical knowledge to further analyze the spatial atmosphere and practical meaning expressed by different forms and functions of geometric forms in children’s education space,so that the application of different characteristics of geometric forms can be clearer and more explicit.In the research session,it is found that most of the previous analysis on the characteristics of geometric forms and cases are based on theories from adult’s perspective,but there is little research and data on whether children like such spaces and what geometric forms they are interested in,therefore,this has become one of the purposes and core contents of this paper.Based on the case study and theoretical analysis,the questionnaire is used to investigate the children’s preference for different geometric forms.The data obtained will be summarized and the conclusions drawn will be compared and analyzed with authoritative research or theory to provide a reliable and informative data basis and theoretical foundation for the thesis research.Finally,based on the theory and research,the selected children’s education space is designed,and the geometric forms selected are applied to different functional areas in combination with the previous theoretical research,so as to transform the theory into reality and prove whether the design theory of geometric forms is practical and applicable.The above research methods and findings also lay the theoretical foundation for the elaboration and analysis of this paper.It should be said that geometry is a common and widely used design element in interior design,especially in the design of children’s educational spaces,but there are few theoretical studies and analyses on the application and meaning of geometry in children’s educational spaces in China,and the lack of theoretical studies also makes blind and inappropriate applications of geometry in the design of children’s educational spaces appear.The reasonable use of geometric forms in children’s educational spaces should not only be for modeling and decoration,but also to serve children and better meet their needs.Therefore,the main concern of this paper is to consider the design of geometric forms in children’s education space from children’s perspective and create an educational space suitable for children to immerse themselves in,so as to meet the actual needs of children’s learning activities and enhance the environment and atmosphere of children’s education.Based on this,this paper investigates the weakness of the current domestic theory in this field,which can make up for the lack of theoretical research and also provide support for the relevant design concepts,with certain research value and practical significance. |
