After the full liberalization of the two-child policy,my country has introduced a new three-child policy,and the issue of sibling relationship has increasingly become the focus of social attention.As an important part of interpersonal communication,Peer communication skills affect young children’s personality development and social development.Based on the above background,the starting point is the sibling relationship,and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the influence of the sibling relationship on the peer communication ability.Using a combination of questionnaire survey and observation and interview method,360non-only children in some kindergartens and senior classes in D city were randomly selected as the survey objects,and statistical analysis was carried out through SPSS 26.0.Carry out description and difference analysis,and carry out correlation analysis and regression analysis between the two to further study the specific impact of sibling relationship quality on each dimension of peer communication ability,and draw the following conclusions:1.On the whole,the sibling relationship of children in middle and large classes is closer than sibling conflict and sibling competition;Gender differences show that sisters are warmer than brothers in the dimension of sibling warmth,and siblings are more likely to compete for parental care than sisters in the dimension of sibling jealousy.The age gap is manifested in the coexistence of high intimacy and high conflict in sibling relationships of children aged three and under.2.The overall score of peer communication ability of non-only children in middle and large classes is above the middle,mainly in the dimensions of verbal and non-verbal communication,social initiative,and all children with a sibling age gap of more than three years are significantly higher than young children with a sibling age gap of three years and younger.3.Peer intercourse ability was significantly positively correlated with sibling warmth and jealousy;significantly negatively correlated with sibling conflict.The social skills learned by children with close sibling relationships in the process of getting along with their siblings will affect the development of their peer communication skills.4.The quality of sibling relationship has a significant impact on the dimensions of peer communication ability.Children with close sibling relationship have many communication and interaction behaviors in the process of getting along with their compatriots,so they can exercise and improve their verbal and nonverbal communication skills in the daily communication process,and then improve their initiative in communicating with peers,which can also gradually improve their ability to solve their own social barriers.Make the following recommendations: parents should fully realize the significance of sibling relationship to children’s lifelong development,create a good family atmosphere,cultivate the sibling intimacy between children,and promote the development of children’s peer communication ability through good sibling relationship;Teachers should carry out relevant interactive courses and games in kindergartens,cultivate the communication ability of children of different ages.Kindergartens should carry out home-based cooperation,and provide places for parents and children through relevant parenting lectures,theme activities,etc,so as to promote the continuous improvement of children’s peer communication skills. |
