Academic self-efficacy is students’ belief in their own learning behavior ability.It is students’ confidence in whether they can use their existing ability to solve learning difficulties and complete learning tasks.It is an individual’s self expectation of the ability to regulate their own learning behavior and achieve a specific learning goal.Academic self-efficacy affects students’ behavior in learning activities and perseverance in the face of learning difficulties,and further affects students’ academic performance.Therefore,it is of great significance to study how to improve students’ academic self-efficacy.Existing research shows that different types of teaching models have different effects on improving students’ academic self-efficacy.Among them,some studies have found that the cooperative learning teaching model in some courses plays a positive role in the formation and development of students’ academic self-efficacy.Cooperative learning teaching mode is one of the main achievements of curriculum education reform.This teaching model helps to highlight the dominant position of students and emphasize that students actively construct knowledge in the process of cooperation.The cooperative learning teaching model has carried out cooperative learning teaching practice in various levels and disciplines.Among them,it is more applied in basic courses such as Chinese,mathematics and English in primary and secondary schools,but there is less applied research in the field of secondary vocational professional courses.It is unclear whether the implementation of cooperative learning teaching model in secondary vocational tourism professional courses will also help to improve students’ academic self-efficacy.In addition,there are few studies on how cooperative learning teaching model affects students’ academic self-efficacy,so the targeted guidance of teaching practice needs to be strengthened.Based on this,this paper attempts to explore whether the implementation of cooperative learning teaching model in Secondary Vocational Tourism curriculum can have a positive impact on students’ academic self-efficacy,and further analyze its mechanism,in order to better optimize teaching design and improve students’ academic self-efficacy.This paper uses qualitative analysis method to carry out research.Based on the theories of social interdependence theory and social learning theory,the paper uses the methods of interview and observation to obtain data.Taking the students of two classes of tourism major in a secondary vocational school in Guangzhou as the teaching object,the paper implements two different types of cooperative learning teaching modes of group cooperation and peer assistance in the two courses of "Chinese tourism geography" and "basic knowledge of local tour guides".On this basis,the students and teachers are interviewed,To study the influence of cooperative learning teaching model on students’ academic self-efficacy.Through the induction and analysis of the original data,the paper draws the following conclusions:(1)the implementation of cooperative learning teaching model in Secondary Vocational Tourism curriculum can have a positive impact on students’ academic self-efficacy;(2)Among the two cooperative learning teaching modes of peer assistance and group cooperation,the group cooperative learning teaching mode has a greater impact on students’ learning ability and self-efficacy,but there is no significant difference between the two in students’ learning behavior self-efficacy.Due to the reasons of workload,interpersonal relationship,opportunities and so on,most students prefer the peer assistance teaching mode;(3)Cooperative learning teaching mode affects students’ academic self-efficacy through a variety of complementary personality traits,a variety of interdependent relationships,a variety of responsibilities brought by the division of labor,mutual interaction and feedback evaluation.Finally,the author puts forward suggestions for the secondary vocational tourism curriculum to better carry out the cooperative learning teaching mode and improve students’ academic self-efficacy from the perspectives of teachers,students and parents.
