At present,China is in a critical period of achieving a historic leap from a big country of the times to a strong country of the times, and the role of education as the backbone of promoting transformation and development cannot be underestimated. But in fact, educational inequalities that have existed since the founding of our country still exist.Therefore,education-related research still needs to make great strides, provide theoretical impetus for national development, attach importance to the education of students in Guangdong University, consolidate the reserve army of the country’s healthy movement, alleviate the people’s education problems, ensure that the opportunities and fruits of education are shared by everyone, and draw an educational blueprint for everyone to become a talent and everyone to give full play to their talents. For individuals who have completed their educational years, the variable of the final years of schooling is often used to explore the results of their education. For individuals who have not yet completed their studies,an important predictor of the eventual level of education in life is the expectation of self-education.In this paper, the individual’s self-education expectation is selected as the target variable, and the path and size of the educational expectation by family background are studied based on the CFPS2016-2018 database.Firstly, with reference to the "Big Five Personality",the noncognitive ability index of the offspring is constructed, and then the two variables of EGP class hierarchy after the transformation of the quality of family marriage relationship and the economic status of the parent are used to refer to the family background, and the SPSS 22.0 statistical software is used to analyze the path, focusing on the influence of family background on the educational expectations. The results of the study found that for the children who are still in school, the level of their own educational expectations is significantly affected by micro factors. In addition to their own non-cognitive ability directly affect their level of educational expectations, their own academic level will also play a mediating role in their own noncognitive ability to affect the path of self-expectation of educational expectations, the higher their non-cognitive ability level, the more likely they are to correspond to higher academic performance, further positive help to improve their expectations for education level. In addition,in the path of the role of family background on the educational expectations of children, the relevant factors of the family will act on the children in different ways: the quality of the parental marriage relationship plays a regulatory role, and the higher the quality of the parental marriage relationship, the more effective it can help the non-cognitive ability of the offspring to act positively on the academic level of the offspring, thereby improving the educational expectations of the children;the higher the education level of the parents, the higher the expectation of their children for their own education;the EGP class level of the parents is an important part of the path of the influence of the educational expectations of the offspring. In addition to having a direct effect on the offspring, the elevation of paternal class status also acts positively on the pathway effect of offspring’s non-cognitive abilities and academic achievements on educational expectations.Overall, family background plays a key role in predicting the level of educational expectations. From a macro perspective, the difference in economic level between regions will also affect the individual’s determination of their own educational expectations. But the individual’s expected level of education is not a positive effect of economic development. In other words, areas with high levels of economic development do not have the highest expectations of individual education compared to areas with low levels of economic development.Individuals in low-economic areas have a stronger desire to change their status by increasing their level of education and improving their own status.
