A Study On Professional Values Of Private College Students In Yunnan Province

The Party Central Committee and the State Council have always regarded the employment of college students as an important issue of people’s livelihood,and in recent years,the attention of all sectors of society has continued to rise.Private colleges and universities are an important part of higher education,and since 2000,the scale of running schools has been expanding,the total number of graduates is growing,and their employment situation is becoming more and more severe.The phenomenon of "difficulty in finding employment" of private college graduates is not caused by a single factor,but is also affected by many reasons such as the social environment,colleges and universities,families,and college students themselves.Employment is the foundation of people’s livelihood,but also one of the driving forces to promote the prosperity of the country,in order to achieve smooth employment,we must help private college students to find reasonable and effective countermeasures,so that they can establish both in line with their own needs and closely integrated with social development of professional values.Taking 6 private colleges and universities in Yunnan Province as an example,this study conducted a questionnaire survey and supplemented by interviews for college students currently enrolled in school,and elaborated on the current situation,existing problems and reasons from the four aspects of career cognition,career choice,career ideals,and career evaluation,and finally proposed corresponding countermeasures from five aspects: government,society,school,family,and college students themselves.In general,the professional values of college students in private colleges and universities in Yunnan Province show a positive and good trend,but there are also certain errors,which are specifically manifested in: insufficient self-awareness,unclear motivation for choosing opportunities,lack of clear career planning,insufficient awareness of social responsibility,insufficient understanding of relevant employment policies,and lack of spirit of hardship.In view of these problems,it is necessary to rely on external forces,that is,the government,society,colleges and universities,and families to help and guide college students,create a good educational atmosphere,and more importantly,college students themselves need to establish correct professional values,improve their comprehensive quality,understand their internal needs,and form professional values that are both in line with their own reality and beneficial to society.Through the analysis of the professional values of college students in private colleges and universities in Yunnan Province,this study can warn and reflect on society,colleges,families and college students themselves to a certain extent,and has certain guiding significance for the smooth employment of college students after graduation.
