Schools for easy poverty alleviation and resettlements sites are schools built by the government for the children of relocated people in poor and remote areas. The construction of schools in relocation sites for poverty alleviation ensures the schooling needs of children of relocated households of school age,and promotes the integration of relocated households into cities and towns, and helps them to live and work happily, interrupt poverty, and get rid of poverty and become rich. The relocation site schools have achieved the goal of having the children of relocated households go to school nearby, but there are many challenges to the healthy growth of the children of relocated households, the biggest one being that after the geographic migration, the children of relocated households face many psychological problems due to changes in the educational environment and other maladjustments. At present, the relocation has entered a new stage in the history of follow-up support,so it is of great practical significance to do a good job in managing the mental health of students in relocation schools, which is directly related to the harmonious physical and mental development of the children of relocated households and the consolidation of the effectiveness of poverty alleviation,so it is of great practical significance to study the problems and countermeasures of mental health management of middle school students in relocation schools. This study takes Middle School A,an easy-land poverty alleviation relocation site school in Bijie City,Guizhou Province,as an example, and adopts various research methods such as literature research method, questionnaire survey method, interview method, and observation method, etc. After sampling, some students, teachers, and parents of Middle School A were examined for work related to school students’ mental health management, and after data statistical analysis and compilation of interview results,It is found that there are problems in the management of mental health of middle school students in middle school A,a school for relocation of poverty alleviation, such as unsatisfactory school mental health education curriculum, insufficient early classification and guidance of students’ psychological problems, poor effect of students’ psychological counseling and guidance services, insufficient school mental health management system, insufficient guarantee of students’ mental health conditions, etc. It also analyzed that the causes of the problems mainly lie in the government’s insufficient investment in mental health education in schools, the low degree of importance attached to mental health education in schools, the lack of effective scientific organization and management of mental health education in schools, the lack of self-education on students’ mental health, the inappropriate parenting style of immigrant parents, and the negative influence of the surrounding environment of schools, etc. We then propose countermeasures to strengthen the mental health management of junior high school students in the schools in the relocation sites for poverty alleviation: the government increases comprehensive support to improve the conditions and guarantee system of students’ mental health management;schools improve the management mechanism of mental health education and cultivate students’ positive mental qualities in multiple ways;parents establish correct family education concepts and strengthen communication with their children;students improve their self-awareness and strengthen self-education.
