Prosocial behavior refers to the voluntary behavior of individuals,in line with social expectations,which can bring benefits to others and promote interpersonal harmony.Junior high school students are in the critical period of physical and mental development.Cultivating their prosocial behavior is not only conducive to the social development of individuals,but also conducive to the implementation of the fundamental educational task of establishing morality and fostering people.Moral elevation is a kind of positive moral emotion generated by individuals when they see virtuous behavior of others,and its relationship with prosocial behavior has attracted much attention.As an important experience of life,the meaning of life can not only effectively maintain individual mental health,but also has inextricably linked with prosocial behavior.On the basis of previous studies,this study explores the relationship between moral elevation and prosocial behavior,and attempts to introduce the variable of meaning of life to explore whether it plays the mediating role in the relationship between moral elevation and prosocial behavior,so as to enrich domestic studies on moral elevation and prosocial behavior.This study is divided into two parts.In the first study,424 junior middle school students were surveyed by cluster sampling method using moral elevation questionnaire,meaning of life questionnaire and prosocial behavior questionnaire,to explore the relationship between moral elevation,meaning of life and prosocial behavior.In the second study,a pre-test and post-test experimental design was used to intervene the moral elevation of junior high school students,and to explore whether the intervention program can improve the moral elevation of junior middle school students,and whether the level of meaning of life and prosocial behavior can also be improved after the intervention of moral elevation.The results show that :(1)the score of moral elevation of junior middle school students in girls is higher than that of boys,and the dimension of "emotional response and revealing" reaches a significant level.(2)The moral elevation,meaning of life and prosocial behavior of junior high school students are significantly positively correlated.(3)The moral elevation can positively predict prosocial behavior of junior middle school students,and the meaning of life plays a partial mediating role,with the mediating effect rate reaching21.17%.(4)After the intervention of moral elevation,the moral elevation level of junior middle school students was significantly improved,and the score of meaning of life meaning was improved,but not to a significant level.The score of prosocial behavior was also improved,and the dimension of emotional prosocial behavior reached a significant level.In conclusion,this study concludes that junior high school students’ meaning of life plays a partial mediating role in the influence of moral elevation on prosocial behavior;The moral elevation intervention program in this study can effectively improve the moral elevation level of junior high school students,and promote prosocial behavior.
