Education is the basic project of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and its development cannot be separated from the continuous and stable huge input of the government.Although the scale of financial education input in various regions of China has expanded after2012,there are still significant differences in the regional governance level of financial education input.Under the system of financial decentralization,on the one hand,in order to seek regional economic growth, local governments tend to invest in construction projects with short cycles, quick returns, and low risks in the long term, thus squeezing the scale of financial input in education. On the other hand, forced by the central government, diversified assessment mechanism requirements,high-quality development of talent demand and other pressures, but also to improve the level of regional education development.Under such contradictory conflicts, how to use limited financial resources to effectively improve the efficiency of regional education development has become an unavoidable significant problem for local governments.Although the improvement effect of financial education input on educational development efficiency has been widely affirmed,it is only confined to internal of independent regions and cannot reflect the effect of financial education input on educational development efficiency in different regions.Considering the relationship between local governments, this paper, while verifying the role of local financial education input in promoting regional educational development efficiency, focuses on the role of local financial education input in different regions in promoting regional educational development efficiency, and takes local government competition as a bridge to communicate the two.The spatial influence mechanism of "financial education input in Region A--local government competition(loss of efficiency)--educational development efficiency in Region A" and "financial education input in Region B--local government competition(loss of efficiency)--educational development efficiency in Region A" is set up.The research results show that in the provincial administrative units in China,A provincial(Autonomous region,Municipalities)fiscal expenditure on education development of A provincial(Autonomous region,Municipalities)education efficiency are obvious, but the change of fiscal expenditure on education will be in the space to the efficiency of the education development of other regions produce negative spillover effect, namely B provinces(Autonomous regions,Municipalities)instead of the increase of fiscal expenditure on education could cause A(Autonomous regions,Municipalities)provincial education development efficiency is reduced.Due to the objective existence of local government competition factors. On the one hand,it will weaken the efficiency improvement effect in the path of "financial education input in Region A--educational development efficiency in Region A",and on the other hand,it will lead to the expansion of negative spillover in the path of "financial education input in Region B--educational development efficiency in Region A".In response to the above conclusions, this study believes that the key to promoting the optimal development of regional education lies in increasing the scale of fiscal education investment and avoiding losses caused by local government competition.Specifically: First, broaden the financing channels of fiscal education funds and appropriately increase education funds.Measures such as drawing standards, optimizing the structure of fiscal expenditures, and improving the education transfer payment system to increase the scale of fiscal education investment;the second, improve the evaluation mechanism of local governments and introduce more flexible and non-economic evaluation factors, supplemented by comprehensive A sexual incentive system can reduce the efficiency loss caused by local government competition;Thirdly, break through the barriers to the circulation of regional education resources by strengthening the inter-regional education linkage development mechanism and realize the efficiency of the redistribution of educational resources.
