Under the background of the construction of double first-class colleges and universities,taking the interactive relationship between colleges and universities and local governments as the research direction,it is of great significance to study the service of colleges and universities to local governments and the back feeding of colleges and universities.That is to say,colleges and universities provide talent cultivation and local support for the development of higher education.Colleges and universities are not only the place where talents gather,but also the place to cultivate excellent talents.Colleges and universities recruit more students in their territories,which can cultivate more talents for the place.In the final analysis,the current international competition is the competition of talents,and human resources are the first resource.Therefore,all localities attach importance to the development of local education,and colleges and universities are the birthplace of education.Colleges and universities promote local economic and social development through local characteristic discipline construction,talent training,scientific research,local think tank analysis and local characteristic cultural inheritance,and provide talent resources,think tank resources,expert resources and cultural resources for local economic development;The local government provides land resources and financial resources for colleges and universities,the policy of introducing excellent teachers,the number of teachers’ professional titles and the temporary posts of college leaders in the local government.Colleges and Universities Serving the local and local feeding colleges and universities complement each other and promote each other.In the process of interaction,the university name plays a very important role.This thesis takes the university name as the clue to study the interactive relationship between the two is a new research perspective.The name of an organization often represents the development direction and goal of the organization,which is very important to its own survival and development.This thesis attempts to make use of the differences in the names of 822 public undergraduate colleges and universities in China.By dividing the names of colleges and universities into three categories:pure place names(Peking University),place names plus majors(Beijing Foreign Studies University)and no place names(Tsinghua University),this thesis studies the two-way interactive relationship between universities with different school names and local governments.This study found that: in terms of local service of colleges and universities,the total enrollment and science enrollment of colleges and universities with local place names are more than those without local place names.Among them,the role of colleges and universities with pure place names is more obvious and recruit more students in the local area;In contrast,in terms of local back feeding colleges and universities,the local government’s support for colleges and universities is limited,and there are only some aspects of support.The specific performance is as follows: in addition to the Deputy school level leaders having more local government work experience,the colleges and universities with local names in their school names have not received more attention from the local government in terms of land,number of teachers,teacher staffing,scientific research funds and so on.The conclusion is still significant after various robustness tests.This means that in terms of school local relations,more universities are serving the local government,and the local government has not reciprocated,giving more returns to the University,especially the support for people and property in Colleges and universities is not enough.The policy enlightenment of this thesis: Promote the interaction between colleges and universities and local governments by using the name of the university as the index,while colleges and universities serve the local and promote the cultivation and development of local talents,the government should also pay more attention to local colleges and universities.If the government wants to realize the development of higher education clusters,it often needs to change the urban development layout,that is,from the previous extensive provincial layout to the refined urban layout.Only when the support of local governments and local enterprises to local colleges and universities is improved,can the regionality of local colleges and universities be improved.The research conclusion of this thesis can better understand the relationship between universities and local governments under the background of high school local integration,which may have some enlightenment significance for building a harmonious development situation of school local interaction. |
