Study On The Adaptability Of Elderly People Involved In Case Work In Nursing Institutions ——A Case Study Of Q Nursing Home In Chengdu

According to the seventh National Population Census,there are 35.8 million senior citizens aged 80 and above.As the age of the elderly is increasing,they gradually lose the ability to take care of themselves.They need assistance in clothing,food,housing,transportation,defecation and urination.An elderly person needs at least one adult to take care of him.When the elderly are transferred from family to nursing home for the aged,due to certain problems in their physical and mental conditions,as well as sudden changes in the environment,it is easy to have problems in daily life,psychology,interpersonal communication and other aspects that do not adapt to nursing home life.This paper takes the elderly newly admitted to Q Nursing Home in Chengdu as the research object.Through preliminary interviews,it summarizes the universal adaptation problems of the elderly from family care to institutional care,including four aspects of daily life,psychological emotion,interpersonal communication and environmental adaptation.Then select a typical research object for case intervention to provide services.The adaptability problems of the subjects were classified as eating arrangement and sleep problems in daily life.Interpersonal communication with staff and other elderly people;Lack of social support: lack of family social support and lack of social support in pension institutions.Adopting the practical model of ecosystem theory,the adaptability of the research object is analyzed from the micro level,the medium level and the macro level.Formulate the general goal of helping the research object adapt to the life of the elderly care institution and the sub-goal of solving various adaptability problems.In case work for research objects of adaptability problems involved,and the research object of family system,pension agency personnel system,pension agencies involved,the old system as a whole are involved in the adaptation of the research object,which will be the research object of effectively solve the adaptability problem,help the object of study to adapt to the life,pension institutions abetted.After the intervention of the case,the study object was evaluated,and the overall goals and sub-goals were basically achieved.Through the research,it is found that helping the elderly solve psychological problems is the key to solve the adaptability problem,case work can effectively deal with the adaptability of the elderly in institutions,and case intervention under the guidance of ecosystem theory can significantly improve the intervention effect.
