| The modernization of university governance system and governance capacity is an important part of the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity.As the key figure of university governance,university presidents are the key to connecting internal and external governance subjects,so it is of great value to study the governance ability of university presidents.With the university’s governance concept and “student-oriented” service concept being deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,the status and demands of college students in the internal governance of universities are increasingly concerned.University presidents should focus on the demands of college students,examine their present situation,scientifically understand and reasonably meet their expectations for the president’s governance ability.Focusing on the theme of “Research on the Expectation of University Students’ Principal’s Governance Ability”,this study builds an index system of university presidents’ governance ability based on literature analysis,job analysis and expert consultation.Through investigation and analysis,it grasps the present situation and reasons of H University students’ expectation of university presidents’ governance ability,and finally puts forward an optimized path to meet the expectation of university students’ governance ability.The main contents of this study are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.This paper expounds the research background of “Expectation of university students’ president’s governance ability”from three aspects: value motivation,realistic demand and return appeal,and expounds the basic problems of this topic,including the research significance and research status,and then puts forward the research ideas and research methods of this research,and determines the important,difficult and innovative points of this research.The second chapter is the concept definition and theoretical construction.On the basis of defining university presidents’ governance ability,this paper analyzes the related concepts of university presidents’ governance ability,and constructs the expectation theory of university presidents’ governance ability,including university presidents’ competency theory,university presidents’ role expectation theory and university organization governance theory.The third chapter is the system construction and questionnaire compilation.Through literature analysis,job analysis and expert consultation,an index system of university presidents’ governance ability is preliminarily constructed,which includes47 elements in five dimensions: personality traits,innovation ability,education leading ability,interpersonal relationship ability and strategic planning ability,and its connotation is deeply interpreted.On this basis,the initial questionnaire was compiled,and after revising the index system through a small-scale test,the five-factor model of the index system of university presidents’ governance ability was verified,and finally a formal questionnaire with 45 items was formed.The fourth chapter is the current situation investigation.This part mainly solves the problem of “what is the current situation of college students’ expectation of the principal’s governance ability”.The survey results show that college students’ expectation of principals’ governance ability is generally at a high level;There are gender differences in the expectation of college students’ principals’ governance ability,which shows that the overall expectation of girls is higher than that of boys.The fifth chapter is to optimize the path.It mainly solves the problem of “how to meet and optimize college students’ expectation of the principal’s governance ability”.In order to better meet college students’ expectation of the president’s governance ability,this paper synthesizes the theoretical and empirical research results,draws lessons from the advanced experience at home and abroad,and proposes to systematically improve the university president’s governance ability from two aspects:internal security system and external security system. |
