Children’s private speech is a common phenomenon.Since Piaget first proposed the concept of ’egocentric speech’,the research on children’s private speech had attracted extensive attention from scholars at home and abroad.This study adopts qualitative research methods.After sorting out the literature and initially observing the actual performance of children’s private speech usage,it focuses on the outdoor game situation of the middle class in kindergarten,collects children’s private speech paragraphs through observation and interviews,describes and analyzes the data.From the specific performance of middle-class children’s private speech in outdoor games,the types of children’s private speech in games are rich,including word play or repetition,emotional expression,imaginary play speech,self-direction,descriptive,event recall,questioning or self-questioning and self-answering.However,there are differences in the distribution of each type,among which the descriptive private speech is the most,and the content is mostly describing its ongoing game activities.In terms of the core characteristics corresponding to the various types of private speech,word play or repetitive private speech presents the characteristics of self-pleasure of content and motivation;children’s emotional expressive private speech is the external expression of their emotions,it has emotional explicitness;the imaginary game language in the game enriches the game content,it is imaginative and creative;self-guided private speech regulates and guides children’s game behavior,and has self-regulation;the content of descriptive private speech fully reflects the characteristics of the times and it shows the distinctive characteristics of the times;the event-recalling private speech is the children’s unconscious association and expression of past experiences or events,and it has free association;finally,the children’s questioning or self-questioning self-answering private speech is based on toys or materials,it is an intermediary interaction process with material interaction.From the perspective of the value presentation of private speech in outdoor games by middle-class children,it is found that for children,private speech has the development value of promoting their language,emotion,thinking,problem-solving ability and learning quality;for kindergartens,private speech is the driving force of its game activities,the entry point of environment creation and the generation point of curriculum activities,it have educational value to promote its quality improvement.Based on the above research conclusions,it is recommended that teachers correctly understand the performance of children’s private speech in outdoor games,fully grasp its types and characteristics,change their own concepts,and form a knowledge system about children’s private speech.Make full use of the value of private speech in outdoor games,understand and promote the development of children’s abilities in all aspects through private speech;adjust the game plan in time,generate new game themes and content,promote the process of the game,create a reasonable outdoor game environment,and continue to generate a curriculum system that conforms to the age characteristics and needs of children,and improves the quality of kindergarten education.Finally,use scientific understanding to guide behavior,treat children’s private speech in outdoor games scientifically,create a free outdoor play environment,give them reasonable attention,and guide and encourage children to use rich private speech to express themselves.
