| With the development and improvement of the fertility policy,Chinese families are gradually changing from the one-child family structure to the multi-child family structure.As another important part of family relationship,sibling relationship is the most stable and long-lasting emotionally inclined relationship that an individual has in his life.It has the characteristics of involuntary and permanent.Preschool is a critical period for children’s social development and personality perfection.Sibling interaction is an important way of interpersonal communication for young children.For the development of children’s life,it has its own special value.Good sibling interaction provides sufficient opportunities for children to learn and communicate,and also provides more possibilities for their social development.Based on the promotion of the multi-child birth policy,this study adopts the method of purposeful sampling,and selects two-child core families with both children in kindergarten education in multi-child families as the research subjects.Combining the Sibling Interaction Questionnaire,the Children’s Social Development Questionnaire,and the observation method,the relationship between sibling interaction and various dimensions of children’s social development was further analyzed and explored.The study found that there was no significant difference in the age and gender of the second child in sibling interaction.There is no significant gender difference in the social development of the second child,but there is a significant difference in age.Sibling interaction is correlated with second-child social development.Sibling intimate interaction and sibling competitive interaction are significantly correlated with the level of social development of the second child.Sibling conflict interaction is positively correlated with second-child emotional stability,self-concept and independence development level.Contrastive interaction of sibling rights is significantly correlated with second-child social cognition,emotional stability,self-concept,and independence development levels.Sibling intimate interaction significantly positively predicts second-child social development.According to the results,educational suggestions for promoting sibling interaction and children’s social development in multi-child families are put forward from different levels.Improve communication and create a harmonious atmosphere;pay attention to the interaction of siblings and establish positive interactions;love and impartiality and treat them equally;face up to problems and intervene appropriately.Pay attention to children’s psychology and carry out themed activities;create a mixed-age environment,learn communication strategies;respect trust,and foster home together.Strengthen government management and establish correct public opinion;give play to resource advantages and provide social support.It further enhances the "self-awareness" of adult education research in multi-child families,and awakens its attention and emphasis on siblings and siblings’ interactions.Correctly understand the interaction between siblings,make scientific judgments and predictions,and carry out appropriate interventions to promote the social development of children. |
