General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that in the new journey of building a comprehensive socialist modernization,vocational education has a broad future and great potential.In the context of the new era,China’s tourism industry has entered a brand new stage of development,and the comprehensive transformation and upgrading of China’s tourism industry has put forward comprehensive and urgent requirements for the quality of human capital,and tourism vocational education has ushered in important development opportunities.The vigorous development of red tourism in Xiangtan City urgently needs the support of tourism professionals.Xiangtan City is a famous and important red tourism destination.In recent years,Xiangtan City attaches great importance to the development of tourism industry and has made a comprehensive planning layout for tourism industry in Xiangtan City,putting forward the overall development idea of "one center,one leader,two carriers and one economic belt" and determining the target orientation of "international cultural tourism city".The rapid development of the tourism industry has accentuated the shortage and shortage of professional tourism talents.Xiangtan City Industrial Trade Secondary Professional School(Xiangtan Industrial Trade Secondary Professional School)is a national key secondary vocational school held by Xiangtan Municipal People’s Government,a national model school for reform and development of secondary vocational education,and a national advanced unit of vocational education,and its tourism service major is a special boutique major with the main goal of cultivating tourism skill talents at the secondary level,which has an important talent reserve and supporting role for the development of tourism industry in Xiangtan.This study takes the cultivation of tourism professional talents in Xiangtan City Industrial and Trade Secondary School as the research object,makes an in-depth analysis of the current situation of cultivating tourism professional talents at the secondary level,intends to explore the common problems existing in the process of cultivating tourism professional talents at the secondary education level at present,and proposes improvement countermeasures,hoping to have some reference significance for the development of tourism professional education in other secondary schools.Focusing on the cultivation of tourism professionals at the secondary level in Xiangtan City Industrial and Trade College,we analyzed the main problems faced in the cultivation of tourism professionals in the school through field research,questionnaires and interviews with students,teachers and enterprises,mainly including the backward concept of vocational education,less clear positioning of talent objectives,mismatch between professional curriculum and market demand,outdated talent cultivation model and lack of "dual-teacher" teachers,etc.On the basis of reviewing the relevant theoretical literature and school data in the past years,we analyzed the main problems faced in the cultivation of tourism professionals in the school.In response to the problems that arise,according to the theoretical requirements such as enterprise demand and dry school,specific countermeasures are proposed,including: first,further clarify the training objectives in combination with market demand;second,vigorously reform the teaching content,build a reasonable curriculum system,build a diversified evaluation system,and strengthen students’ job skills training and training;third,improve the teaching environment and establish a stable practical training base;fourth,be innovative,play the role of the government and enterprises,and use the advantages of group schooling to cultivate tourism talents needed by the market;fifth,strengthen the special training of teachers and build a high-quality faculty.
