| The professional capacity of kindergarten teachers refers to the personal psychological characteristics of kindergarten teachers revealed in the completion of various kindergarten education activities,which has a direct impact on the quality of kindergarten education and the development of children’s physical and mental health.Since the Ministry of Education issued the "Professional Standards for Kindergarten Teachers"(Trial)in 2012,the research on the professional competence of kindergarten teachers has aroused extensive attention.But there are much more theoretical studies than empirical ones;many of them are conducted in regions where most Han people live.There is not much information for the research on the professional capability of kindergarten teachers in minority areas.Therefore,my study chose "professional capacity of kindergarten teachers" as the content,and the scope was confined in Lijiang City,a minority settlement.The research methods of this thesis are document method,questionnaire method,data statistics method and case study method.A "Questionnaire for Kindergarten Teachers’ Professional Capacity in Minority Areas" was compiled referring to the "Professional Standards for Kindergarten Teachers"(Trial).And by means of empirical research the first-hand information was collected to understand the current status of kindergarten teachers’ professional capabilities in minority areas.The study found that the main problems of the professional capability of kindergarten teachers in Lijiang City are: focus more on childcare than education;attach importance to children’ safety,but lack of ability to deal with security incidents;lack of skills in observation and recording of children’s game activities;inadequate exploration and use of environmental resources;insufficient design of teaching activities,lack of promotion evaluation.The reasons for the above problems,on the one hand,include the teacher’s gender,age,ethnic group,teaching experience,knowledge level and other factors.On the other hand,there are also factors in the concept of managing kindergartens,as well as the influence of local culture and economy.Factors such as the training quality of pre-school education majors before and after work should not be neglected.To these problems,this thesis puts forward suggestions for improving the professional capability of kindergarten teachers in minority areas: First,reflect on their teaching practice and improve the professional ability of their own will: reflect on their own teaching activities;improve the ability of handling security incidents;pay attention to the educational nature of children’s games;fully explore and utilize environmental resources;attach importance to the design of teaching activities and promotion evaluation.Second,obtain support from the external environment,to build a platform for cooperation and mutual assistance: to obtain support from kindergarten and government;teachers’ colleges and kindergartens cooperate to establish a pre-employment and post-employment training base;to build a platform for mutual cooperation between kindergartens and kindergartens,kindergartens and families. |
