| Objective: Based on the investigation of the current situation of rural primary school students’ psychological resilience,this study designed a set of targeted regimental assistance program,and then explored whether the program can effectively improve the psychological resilience of rural left behind primary school students,in order to provide some useful suggestions for the related research of rural left behind children’s psychological resilience.Methods:626 students from grade 1 to grade 6 of a primary school in a township of Sichuan Province were selected and pretested with Adolescent Resilience Scale.On the basis of gender balance,60 students with complete personality and willingness to participate in group activities were selected as subjects and divided into experimental group,control group 1 and control group 2 with 20 students in each group.The experimental group was intervened by group counseling eight times to improve the level of resilience.The subjects in control group 1 did not arrange activities,while the subjects in control group 2 organized activities without specific purpose.At the end of group counseling,the results of pretest,posttest and follow-up posttest were compared among the three groups,so as to test the effectiveness and sustainability of group counseling in improving the psychological resilience of rural left behind children.Results: 1.The mental resilience of rural primary school students is in the middle level.There is a significant difference between left behind children and non left behind children.In the grade variable,the score of high grade students is significantly lower than that of middle and low grade students,and there is no significant difference in gender variable.2.After 8 times of group assistance,the post test score of the experimental group’s psychological resilience level was significantly higher than the pre-test score.3.The posttest scores of resilience in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group 1 and control group2.4.There was no significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion: 1There is significant difference in mental resilience between left behind children and non left behind children;2.There is no gender difference in left behind children’s resilience;There are grade differences in left behind children’s resilience;3.Group counseling can effectively improve the psychological resilience of left behind children,and the effect of group counseling is good. |
