Left-behind children are the product of the era of social development and the influx of large-scale labor into cities, and they are a unique group in China. The problems of unsound family structure and lack of family parenting function caused by the separation of parent and child make left-behind children face more risks and challenges than other children. But this does not mean that left-behind children are "problem children" and must be weaker than other children. The practice has proved that some left-behind children have honed their perseverance in a difficult environment and can grow up healthy and strong. The negative events in life have a different impact on every child. Not every child will suffer from disorders and maladjustment. Some children can get rid of the influence of risk on themselves and maintain a healthy mental state and behavioral ability.Resilience refers to the ability of left-behind children to contend with the risk factors of the environment, assisting children to actively cope with adversity and pass the risk period smoothly. This study conducted questionnaire surveys and interviews on the resilience level of left-behind children in primary school B.The analysis showed that the resilience level of left-behind children in primary school B was at a moderately low level. Then,it explores the risk factors that affect the left-behind children’s low resilience from two levels: left-behind children’s personal inner strength and external support.Secondly, under the guidance of Kumpfer’s environment-individual interaction model and advantage perspective theory,a growth group was designed and implemented to improve the resilience of left-behind children. The group can cultivate the skills of left-behind children in communication and cooperation, emotional regulation, goal setting and problem response, assist them in tapping their own advantages and resources, enhance their sense of self-worth and identity, strengthen the inherent protection of left-behind children, and reduce the negative impact of life events on children, promote the physical and mental health of left-behind children.
