| Approaches towards learning have a greater impact on an individual’s lifelong development than the learning of knowledge and skills,especially at the preschool stage,when the development of approaches towards learning has lifelong benefits.The concept of positive attitudes and good behavioral dispositions for individual learning as approach towards learning was introduced in China’s 2012 "Guidelines for Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6 ",where its important value to children’s learning and development was emphasized.Therefore,the research to early childhood education should explore various teaching activities that can help children cultivate approaches towards learning,discover scientific and effective educational patterns,support children’s physical and mental development,and create a happy world that belongs to children.This study reviewed the relevant literature and sorted out the relationship between children’s musicals and the development of learning quality : As a comprehensive art form that integrates different narratives such as song,dance,and drama,children’s musicals can serve as a vehicle for promoting the development of children’s approaches towards learning.This study,adopting the educational experiment method and the data collection method including the interview method and observation method,explored the impact of "children’s musical theme activities" on the approaches towards learning of children in the top class of a kindergarten in C city based on eight-weeks educational intervention.The research uses the educational experiment method as the research method,and the observation method and interview method as the data collection method.In this study 16 musical themed activities of "New Yu Gong Yishan" were designed as independent variable,and the children’s Approaches towards Learning of top class was dependent variable,then a none-equivalent-two groups pretest-posttest design was adopted.The objects of the study were 72 children in two top classes,which are used as an experimental class A and a control class B.The "New Yu Gong Yishan" musical theme activity was carried out in the experiment class A while the control class B maintains its original teaching plan.At the same time,pre-test and the post-test of approaches towards learning were taken to all children of the two classes.On this basis,the impact of children’s musical theme activities on Top class children’s approaches towards learning can be explored.Conclusions can be shown as follows :According to the statistical results of SPSS and the analysis of individual cases,it can be found that the theme activity of the children’s musical "New Yu Gong Yi Shan" significantly promotes the overall development of children’s approaches towards learning in experimental classes,and the promoting effect differs in different dimensions,among which the development of persistence and concentration is the most significant,followed by two dimensions of curiosity and interest,imagination and creativity,and finally the independence.Combined with the data of individual cases,the researcher and the test teacher discussed the reasons why the theme activities of children’s musical promote the development of children’s approaches towards learning from the four dimensions of approaches towards learning.Firstly,the development of children’s curiosity and interest is resulted from the following factors:Integrated art forms arouse children’s interest;Multiple musical theater environment enhances children’s observation ability;Relaxed activity atmosphere promotes children’s initiative;Secondly,the development of children’s persistence and concentration is out of follows: The contents of dramatic story concentrates the attention of children;The prepared environment weakens the external interference;The role-play task improves the execution of children.Thirdly,the development of children’s independence roots in follows: Musical conflict encourages children to challenge difficulties;Teacher’s supporting behaviors promote children’s independent resolution.Finally,the development of imagination and creativity of children is the result of the role-play promotes unconstrained imagination and the low-structure materials awaken children’s creativity.Finally,with a deep talk,the researcher gave education suggestions mainly to teachers and kindergartens in terms of the promotion of children’s musical theme activities to children’s approaches towards learning,and reflected on the research deficiencies in terms of tool selection,variable control,object selection,and activity implementation. |
