The ability to communicate with peers is one of the important social abilities of young children and an important part of their socialization.Construction zone activities provide a broad space for children to communicate with their peers,and have an important impact on the development of peer communication skills.The study mainly discusses the basic situation of children’s peer ability development in the senior class construction area activities,analyzing the existing problems and influencing factors,and proposes improvement strategies.This study uses observation and interview as the main research methods.48 senior class children in the Z Kindergarten were observed and 6 senior class teachers were interviewed.In this study,the "Observation Table for Children’s Peer Communication Ability in the Activities of the Senior Class Construction Area" was used to evaluate the ability of peer communication.And children’s scores were analyzed by SPSS data software.The results of the study found that the children’s peer communication ability in the construction area was at the middle or above development level.And it is found that there are the following problems in the development of children’s peer communication skills in the activities of the senior class construction area: low enthusiasm for initiating communication,less active communication behavior;weak negotiation ability,single strategy use;more conflicting behaviors,and it is difficult to reach an agreement;the sense of sympathy is not strong,and the sense of justice is weak.And the influencing factors of the development of children’s peer communication skills in the construction area activities of senior classes are summarized as follows: The environment for activities in the construction area;the organization of activities in the construction area;the way and timing of the intervention of preschool teachers;the characteristics of children themselves.Based on the problems and influencing factors,this study proposes strategies for improving children’s peer communication skills in the construction area activities of senior classes: kindergartens attach importance to the creation of the construction area environment and create a comfortable communication environment for children;preschool teachers improve the effectiveness of organization and guidance and guide children to correct communication behavior;parents attach importance to the role of family education and create a good family atmosphere.
