Investigation And Research On Employment Assistance For Poor Students In Higher Vocational Colleges- ——Taking The Three Higher Vocational Colleges In Yangzhou As An Example

The number of higher vocational colleges and the number of students studying have accounted for half of my country’s higher education,and the importance of higher vocational education to my country’s economic and social development is self-evident.It is necessary for higher vocational colleges to make great efforts in the quality of talent training in order to cultivate high-tech and high-skilled talents that meet the needs of national and regional industries and industries.Relevant research shows that students from relatively poor families,as a special group of students in higher vocational colleges,account for about 20%of the total number of students in higher vocational colleges.They are in a relatively weak position in terms of professional ability and psychological quality,and their employment competitiveness is relatively weak,which affects their employment rate and employment quality.Whether they can get a satisfactory job is not only very important to their families,it is of great significance in blocking the intergenerational transmission of poverty and realizing social mobility,and it is very helpful in promoting social fairness and stability.It is of great significance to actively provide employment assistance and help them achieve high-quality employment.In order to study the employment assistance of poor students by vocational colleges,three vocational colleges in Yangzhou were selected as the research objects.Using the questionnaire survey method and interview method to deeply understand the current situation of employment and employment assistance for poor students in three higher vocational colleges in Yangzhou.And found that there are problems such as insufficient financial aid,insufficient attention to entrepreneurship support,slow improvement of employment skills,low level of employment services,psychological counseling not meeting students’ needs,and one-on-one assistance being a mere formality.The main reasons for these problems are the insufficiency of government assistance policies,the insufficient introduction of social forces and resources,there are deviations in the understanding of employment assistance in colleges and universities,the imperfect employment assistance support system for poor students in colleges and universities,and the lack of correct employment concept for some poor students themselves.It is necessary to start from the government,colleges and universities,society and the poor students themselves to promote the employment assistance of poor students in higher vocational colleges.Specific measures include the government’s overall planning and improvement of employment assistance policies,making full use of social resources and strength,improving the employment assistance support system for poor students in higher vocational colleges,and improving the enthusiasm of poor students in higher vocational colleges for employment.It is hoped that it can bring some help and reference to the development of employment assistance for poor students in higher vocational colleges,so as to help poor students in high-quality employment and entrepreneurship,block the intergenerational transmission of poverty,and promote social harmony and stability.
