In recent years,with China’s economic development and the increase of double working families,primary and secondary school students have difficulties in picking up and seeing off after school.The opinions on the implementation of after-school services for primary and secondary school students issued by the Sichuan Provincial Department of education in 2019 clearly pointed out that physical exercise can be arranged in a centralized time.As an integral part of extracurricular sports activities,after-school sports service is a new opportunity to improve the physical quality of primary and secondary school students,master special sports skills,enhance their interest in sports participation and develop lifelong physical exercise habits.Primary school is the key stage of cultivating sports interest,which has the characteristics of foundation and mass.Therefore,the situation of after-school sports service in primary school deserves attention.Using the methods of questionnaire,interview and SOFIT systematic observation,this paper studies the current situation of after-school sports services in 9 primary schools in Chengdu,understands the current situation of after-school sports services in primary schools in Chengdu,and the actual problems between the development status and the needs of students and parents,and puts forward the ways to optimize the development of after-school sports services in primary schools.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Basic information of service: the overall situation of after-school sports service in Chengdu is good,but there are some problems,such as single publicity content,large class capacity,small selectivity of sports events,insufficient sports equipment,great impact of special weather on normal teaching of after-school service,low special matching rate of teachers and lack of safety guarantee.(2)Service teaching: teachers take cultivating students’ sports interests and hobbies as the teaching goal,and set up teaching methods and contents independently,focusing on low and medium intensity sports load;Students have a high preference for teachers’ teaching methods.(3)Service demand: students are willing to participate in after-school sports services.Their motivation is mainly to improve their physical quality and sports performance.Through after-school sports services,students’ physical health,physical fitness and self-confidence to overcome difficulties are improved;Parents have a high degree of support for their children to participate in after-school sports services.They expect that through professional and small class teaching,their children can strengthen their body,improve their sports performance and autonomy.(4)Factors affecting students’ Participation: students think that more homework and no favorite projects have a great impact on their participation;Teachers believe that students’ weak awareness and concept of exercise,imperfect after-school sports service organization,heavy schoolwork burden and insufficient venues and equipment are the main factors restricting students’ participation.(5)Service quality evaluation: after class sports service improves students’ medium and high-intensity activity time.School leaders,teachers,students and parents are more satisfied with after-school sports service,but there are less time for games and independent activities in sports service,and teachers are less satisfied with salary.According to the survey results,this paper puts forward the optimization path of after-school sports service in Chengdu:(1)promote the diversification of publicity methods and contents and condense social forces;(2)Enrich sports service items and optimize the distribution of teaching time;(3)Improve the utilization rate of field equipment and make rational use of off campus resources;(4)Improve the evaluation of sports services to ensure students’ personal safety;(5)Establish diversified teachers and strictly control teachers’ qualifications. |
