Sex safety education is one of the important conditions for the healthy growth of junior high school students with hearing-impaired.junior high school students with hearing-impaired are prone to sexual ignorance and confusion when they enter adolescence due to their hearing deficiency,lack of access to sexual knowledge,and lack of sexual education support from schools and families.According to the cognitive and learning characteristics of junior high school students with hearing-impaired,it is important and necessary to conduct sex safety education for them and help them grow up healthily.This study took Class 3 of deaf Students Department of C Special education school as a case class and conducted a four-month action research.First of all,using the method of questionnaire investigation,interview to the case of the class teachers,students and parents of junior high school students with hearing-impaired sex education present situation investigation,the understanding to the case class safe sex education has the certain basis but not enough,most junior high school students with hearing-impaired accepted the basic knowledge of safe sex education,but sexual safety awareness and safety skills are weak.Based on the current situation of sexual safety education in hearing-impaired junior middle schools,we designed and carried out themed teaching activities based on visual text from three fields of sexual safety knowledge education,gender awareness and rights awareness education,and sexual safety prevention skills education,with a total of 15 class hours.The results showed that the visual text-based sex safety education expanded the sexual safety knowledge,enhanced the sexual safety awareness and improved the sexual safety prevention skills of the junior high school students with hearing-impaired.At the same time,the study concluded that it is necessary to implement sex safety education for junior high school students with hearing-impaired,it is feasible to construct sex safety education from knowledge,consciousness and skills,and the introduction of visual text can reduce the sensitivity of sex education for junior high school students with hearing-impaired.It is suggested that deaf schools should make efforts to construct safety education courses.Deaf schools should make full use of their own school resources to conduct sex safety education;Visual text materials can be used to carry out sex education for junior high school students with hearing-impaired.Teachers in deaf schools should enhance their awareness and ability of sex education.
