The Construction Of The Training Program For TCM Specialist Nurses In Hainan Province Under The Background Of TCM Health Tourism

ObjectiveThrough the interdisciplinary research between nursing in Traditional Chinese Medicine（TCM）and TCM health tourism,the aim is to construct a scientific,specialized,practical and innovative training program for nurses of TCM,which is under the background of the TCM health tourism and can meet the current development level of the TCM nursing in Hainan province.The program can be a reference to establish a unified training program and provides standards including selection conditions,Training objectives,training methods,teacher selection,training contents,class hours design and comprehensive evaluation for TCM specialist nurses in Hainan province.MethodsTo preliminarily formulate the draft evaluation index system of core competence of TCM specialty nurses in Hainan Province by means of literature review,current situation investigation.he draft is further revised and supplemented through pre investigation,and the expert consultation form of training program is prepared.Two rounds of consultation from November 2020 to January 2021 have been conducted with the Delphi method.A database has been built via WPS office（11.1.0.10700）Excel for data collection and management.The SPSS 23.0 is applied for data processing and analysis.The positive coefficient of experts is defined as the response rate（RR）,The mean and standard deviation are used to reflect the importance of indicators,and the coordination degree of expert opinions is expressed by coefficient of variation（CV）and Kendall’s W.The priority chart and the composite weight method to calculate the weight of the first,second and third level of each indicator of the training content.Class hours are allocated according to the compound weight of three-level indicators.The chi-square test P<0.05,which indicates that the difference is statistically significant.Results1.After two rounds of the consultation with 15 experts,the training program is completed,which includes the selection conditions,training objectives,training methods.teacher selection,training contents.class hours distribution and comprehensive evaluation for TCM specialist nurses.Among them,there are in total 50 indicators for the training content,i.e.,5 first-level indicators,10 second-level indicators and 35 third-level indicators.2.The response rate of the expert consultation is 100.00%,the judgment coefficient Cs is 0.767,the familiar coefficient Ca is 0.960,and the expert authority coefficient Cr is 0.864.After rounds of consultation,the Kendall coefficient of concordance W of indicators at all levels and the overall index are 0.648,0.667,0.426 and 0.494 respectively.The chi-square test P<0.001,which indicates that the difference is statistically significant.The above demonstrates that the results of the expert corresponding consultation are scientific and reliable.3.5 first-level indicators include career development skills（weight 0.270）,professional development skills（0.267）,TCM nursing knowledge（0.233）,TCM health care knowledge and skills（0.207）and TCM health tourism expertise（0.023）;The 10 secondary indicators include case nursing skills（compound weight 0.138）,TCM nursing skills（0.136）,language communication skills（0.132）,basic knowledge of TCM Nursing（0.118）,basic knowledge of TCM（0.115）,basic skills of TCM health preservation（0.110）,TCM diet making technology（0.097）,professional knowledge of health tourism（0.012）,Health tourism products of TCM（0.011）;The 35 third-level indicators include the design,development,data collection and statistical analysis of TCM nursing research（0.066）,writing of TCM nursing scientific research papers（0.064）,dialectical nursing cases（0.048）,case Nursing（0.046）,professional English communication（0.045）,TCM nursing professional guidance,speech and communication skills（0.044）,personalized health education and rehabilitation guidance（0.043）,Basis of syndrome differentiation Nursing（0.040）,characteristics and principles of TCM nursing,TCM Basic Nursing（0.039）,dietotherapy production technology（0.035）,TCM characteristic nursing technology,TCM nursing first aid skills,TCM nursing health assessment skills,application of TCM nursing technology in common diseases（0.034）,health preserving tea production technology（0.032）,ointment and pill production technology（0.030）,Self conditioning and maintenance（0.028）,TCM Constitution identification and care,sub-health recuperation,common chronic diseases recuperation（0.027）,TCM Decoction and medication guidance,meridians and acupoints,common acupoint functions and positioning（0.020）,basic theory of traditional Chinese Medicine,four diagnostic skills of TCM（0.019）,basic knowledge of TCM（0.017）,International Etiquette（0.005）,Hainan tourism and tourism culture（0.004）,Understanding and mastering common Southern medicine,TCM health tourism boutique route,Application of TCM diet preparation in TCM health tourism,and the application of TCM nursing in the continuous nursing of TCM health tourism（0.003）.ConclusionThis study adopts literature review,current situation investigation and the Delphi method to construct a training program for TCM specialist nurses in Hainan province under the background of TCM health tourism.Including the selection conditions,training objectives,training methods,teacher selection,training content,class hours distribution and comprehensive evaluation of TCM specialty nurses,which includes 5 first-level indicators,10 second-level indicators and 35 third-level indicators.According to the priority chart method,composite weights for the indicators at each level are obtained.all the consultative experts in this study are highly motivated and authoritative,and their opinions tend to be concentrated,which demonstrates that the research results are specialized,scientific,practical and innovative.Therefore,the program can be used as a scientific reference for the training of TCM specialist nurses in Hainan province.
