Irrational Patriotic Education And Guidance Of College Students Presently

Based on college student’s irrational patriotism mood, combined with the subjective demand of the current ages,I proposes that we should educate and guide college student’s irrational patriotism.What’s more,I concludes not only what is irrational patriotism,but also its behavior as well as the measures to teach,on the bases of the analysis and absorption of the related studies.Through the analysis of the patriotic, the patriotism concept, irrational factors and emotional connotation,I think irrational patriotism is guided by irrational factors,people express the simple feeling of loving the motherland spontaneously,finally may departure from patriotism.Students have all kinds of irrational patriotic performance. I carry out investigation and research, pointing out reasons of formation of the irrational mood. The age psychological characteristic of students is one reason, the result of intensification of hegemonism in some countries is also the influecing factor. At the same time,our mass medias and school education in patriotism are also important reasons. For these reasons, I think we must do two aspects of work to carry out patriotic education. First,we should srengthen to build educational content of patriotism, for example,broadening international perspective, clearingnational interests, and bearing the responsibility of great powers. Second, we should innovate upon the teaching methods of patriotism.
