Undergraduates are the top priority of high-quality talent resources.Vigorously improving the overall quality of undergraduates plays an important role in improving personal core competitiveness,social and economic development and the enhancement of national discourse power in the field of international economy.In the critical period of China’s economic transition from high-speed development to high-quality development,higher requirements are put forward for the comprehensive quality of contemporary undergraduates.The financial literacy of undergraduates in managing personal finances,analyzing financial information,and coping with financial risks has become one of the important indicators of the core competitiveness of individuals.As the main group of young consumers,undergraduates’ financial literacy issues should be taken seriously by academic organizations,financial institutions,and government departments.Understanding the status quo of undergraduates’ financial literacy and exploring effective ways to improve undergraduates’ financial literacy have become the key to boosting the development of undergraduates’ financial literacy education and cultivating high-quality talents that adapt to social development.This research is based on the existing financial literacy evaluation research experience of domestic and foreign scholars,combined with the actual learning and living conditions of Chinese undergraduates to design a measurement tool for undergraduates’ financial literacy;On the basis of consulting experts in the field on the scientific and representative opinions of the designed project,the scale is optimized and improved;Based on the pre-survey data,exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the structure of the scale and eliminate unreasonable items,and then the formal scale was determined;The formal survey took some full-time undergraduate students from four universities in different regions as the research object,a total of800 questionnaires were issued and 756 were returned,with a recovery rate of 94.5%,of which 702 were valid questionnaires,with an effective recovery rate of 92.86%,confirmatory factor analysis was carried out according to the data obtained from the formal survey to fit the model construction of the scale and implement the reliability test of the scale.The study found that the overall level of financial literacy of undergraduates is low.Although the overall performance of undergraduates’ consumption and savings attitudes is relatively rational,there are still some undergraduates who are keen to consume in advance,and even consume credit;undergraduates are more active in their investment and financial management attitudes,but their actual investment ability is not strong,and financial management experience is relatively lacking;At the same time,undergraduates’ ability to identify risks is relatively deficient,and their awareness of personal risk prevention is relatively weak.Undergraduates’ wealth and attitude towards life are generally positive and have a correct understanding of the meaning and value of wealth.This research further uses the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method,based on the comparative analysis among 35 cases,and explores the influencing factors of the financial literacy level of undergraduates.Finally,based on the comprehensive analysis of the current situation of undergraduates’ financial literacy and the factors that affect the financial literacy level of undergraduates,the path to cultivate undergraduates’ financial literacy from the levels of government,universities,families and individual undergraduates is proposed.
