| Moral education is the fundamental task and central link of graduate education.The mentor is the first responsible person for the cultivation of graduate students,and the primary responsibility of the mentor is moral education.The mentoring relationship is the most basic and important interpersonal relationship in the process of graduate education.Constructing a harmonious mentoring relationship is an urgent requirement for accomplishing the fundamental task of moral education and ensuring the quality of graduate education.In recent years,with the continuous expansion of the scale of graduate education in China,the mentoring relationship has become cold and utilitarian,and all kinds of mentoring relationship problems have frequently appeared.It reflects the situation that some mentors do not perform their duties well,and it also reflects the mechanism defect and management "shortcoming" of colleges and universities in carrying out their duties.It is of great significance for the construction of harmonious mentoring relationship and the connotative development of graduate education to construct a mechanism for the implementation of moral education responsibility of graduate mentors.Firstly,through literature research and theoretical deduction,this study defines and analyzes core concepts such as mentoring relationship,moral education and implementation mechanism,and elaborates the theoretical basis for this study.Moreover,the responsibility of the graduate mentor is scientifically defined.On the one hand,it constructs the competency model of graduate mentor from the standpoint of the essence of graduate education.It is clear that graduate mentors’ moral education mainly lies in fulfilling their responsibilities to students and science.Then,it puts forward the quality requirements for a mentor to fulfill the duty of moral education from three aspects of motivation and personality,skill and knowledge.On the other hand,this paper constructs a harmonious relationship model from the four dimensions of goal,content,attitude and result,and expounds the internal relevance between the harmonious relationship and the mentor’s moral education duty.Secondly,graduate students and mentors with different academic backgrounds in H university are selected as samples.By using the qualitative research methods such as observation and interview,this paper investigates the actual situation of mentors’ moral education.After several rounds of coding of the survey data,it is found that the mentors are faced with three dilemmies: the lack of knowledge leads to the deviation of action,the lack of ability leads to the poor effect and the inefficient system leads to the lack of motivation.Finally,it further clarifies the goal,principle and strategy of establishing the responsibility implementation mechanism of the mentors’ duty of moral education.The research suggests that the direct goal of establishing the responsibility implementation mechanism of the mentor is to build a harmonious mentoring relationship and promote good interaction between mentors and students,the long-term goal is to promote the reform of graduate education and to help the construction of an innovative country and the fundamental goal is to improve the quality of talent training and realize the all-round development of human beings.In order to construct the implementation mechanism of graduate mentors’ responsibilities,colleges and universities should adhere to the principles of systematization,people-oriented and dynamic.The specific strategies are to update the working philosophy of mentors,clarify the work content of moral education,improve the work system of graduate mentor,innovating the evaluation mechanism of graduate mentors and strengthen the construction of graduate mentors’ moral education culture. |
