With the deepening of the reform of college physical education curriculum and the dissemination of the concept of cultivating the core quality of physical education discipline,the innovative development of the teaching mode of badminton elective course for college students has become a prominent problem in the current reform of college badminton curriculum,which has important research value and practical significance.The main research methods used in this study include literature method,questionnaire survey method,experimental method,mathematical statistics method,etc.The investigation of the current situation shows that the main problems affecting the improvement of students’ badminton skills are the poor skill base of students,the weak professional level of related teachers,the solidified course mode and method,and the disconnection between in-class and after-class teaching.In view of the above problems,this study follows the construction principle of combining fitness and culture,and puts forward the "integration of in-class and after-class teaching" badminton teaching mode.This mode consists of five elements,guiding ideology,teaching objective,teaching content,teaching method and teaching evaluation respectively.The "extracurricular practice content" designed by this model meets the requirement of "integration of in-class and after-class teaching ",and embodies the characteristics of unity and systematicness.The experimental results show that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the old-mode class,which indicates that the students in the experimental class who adopt the "integration of in-class and after-class teaching " mode improve their badminton skills more significantly.On the basis of the above research,this study puts forward the optimization strategies to promote the integration of badminton skills in-class and after-class teaching,which mainly include: strengthening promotion,grasping linkage,training teachers,strengthening leadership,improving facilities,optimizing mechanisms,etc.This result has great reference value for the implementation of the "integration of in-class and after-class " teaching mode of badminton course in colleges and universities.
