Study On The Influence Mechanism Of Labor Mobility On Regional Knowledge Spillover

Economic growth is the eternal theme of regional development.Since Romer introduced knowledge as an independent factor production into the production function,people pay more attention to the contribution of knowledge to economic growth.With the coming of the era of knowledge economy in the 21^stcentury,knowledge spillover,as the main way of knowledge influencing economy,becomes the main driving force of regional economic growth.At the same time,as one of the regional knowledge spillover,the labor force is the focus of local governments.From living subsidies such as transportation and housing to the opening of household registration system,the competition for labor force is becoming more and more intense.However,will this kind of their own welfare really have a positive effect on regional knowledge spillover.Based on the fact of labor mobility,this paper analyzes the impact of labor mobility on regional knowledge spillover.This paper first combs and integrates the theoretical basis and relevant literature of labor mobility and knowledge spillover.Then,analyzing the impact mechanism of labor mobility on regional knowledge spillover and putting forward three basic hypotheses.Then,taking the labor mobility and knowledge spillover of 30 provinces and cities except Tibet as the research object,using the data from the National Statistical Yearbook,the official website of the National Bureau of statistics,and the China Industrial Economic Yearbook from 2008-2017,combined with the benchmark regression model and the intermediary effect model in this paper,the direct and indirect effects of labor mobility on regional knowledge spillover are analyzed,and the three hypotheses are tested.In this paper,we find that labor mobility can promote Jacobs spillover and Porter spillover in this eastern region,and inhibit MAR spillover.For the central and western regions,labor mobility significantly inhibited Porter spillover,but had no significant effect on MAR spillover and Jacobs spillover.In addition,labor mobility can affect knowledge spillover and consumption structure,and the intermediary effect is significant.
