Abstract/Summary:
The research aims to investigate the current situation and characteristics of cyberbullying in junior high school students,and to explore the psychological mechanism of family emotional expression influencing cyberbullying of junior high school students,and examine the chain mediating effect of social anxiety and self-control between family emotional expression and cyberbullying.603 junior high school students from two middle schools in Shandong Province were selected by means of the Family Emotional Expression Questionnaire,Social Anxiety Questionnaire,Self-control Scale and Cyberbully Questionnaire.The data were analyzed by SPSS and MPLUS software.The status quo of cyberbullying,family emotional expression,social anxiety and self-control as well as the differences in demographic variables of junior high school students were statistically analyzed and tested.Based on the correlation analysis,the hypothesis that social anxiety and self-control play a mediating role in the relationship between family emotional expression and cyberbullying behavior of junior high school students was tested.The conclusions are as follows:1.Junior high school students had more cyberbullying behaviors.Boys had more cyberbullying behaviors than girls,and the cyberbullying of junior middle school students from urban areas was obviously more than that of rural students.The cyberbullying of junior middle school students showed an increasing trend with the increase of grade.The cyberbullying behaviors of junior three students were more than those of junior two students,and the cyberbullying behaviors of junior two students were more than those of junior one students.2.There was a correlation between cyberbullying and family emotional expression,social anxiety and self-control among junior high school students.Cyberbullying was negatively correlated with positive emotional expression and self-control,and positively correlated with negative emotional expression and social anxiety.3.Social anxiety and self-control played a mediating role in the influence of family emotional expression on cyberbullying,while the former two played a chain-mediating role in the influence of family emotional expression on cyberbullying.This study is helpful to further understand the psychological mechanism of cyberbullying and provides a scientific basis for educational intervention to reduce cyberbullying behavior of junior high school students.
