Abstract/Summary:
Compared with the ordinary public universities and private universities,the independent secondary colleges have unique characteristics of running schools.Over the past ten years,the independent colleges have experienced the stages of development and confusion.In May 2020,the Ministry of Education issued the Implementation Plan on Accelerating the Special Establishment of Independent Colleges,which required that "by the end of 2020,each independent college will formulate a work plan for the transformation of the system and promote the transformation of a number of independent colleges".It is instructive to study the employment quality of the graduates of independent colleges and analyze the existing problems and the causes of the problems,so as to further develop and deepen the reform after the establishment of independent colleges.Taking graduates from D independent college as the research object,this paper uses the method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to evaluate the employment quality of graduates from D independent college from the perspective of employment structure,and analyzes the influencing factors of employment quality.First of all,this paper sorts out the theories related to employment quality,reviews the research literature of employment quality evaluation index system,constructs the index system of employment quality evaluation of university graduates from D independent college from five latitudes,and establishes the research framework of this paper.Secondly,based on the questionnaire survey and the data of Shandong College Graduates Employment Information Network,from the perspective of employment structure,this paper makes a descriptive analysis of the employment quality of university graduates from independent colleges.The results show that the performance of D independent college in employment rate,employment stability,labor rights protection and employment satisfaction is basically consistent with the average level of provincial colleges and universities.The rate of further study is lower than the average level of provincial colleges and universities;In terms of employment structure index,the performance of provincial colleges and universities has the largest gap with that of provincial ordinary colleges and universities.The occupational structure,regional structure and income level of initial employment are all lower than the provincial average.Thirdly,based on the questionnaire survey data and using the optimal scale regression analysis method,this paper analyzes the factors influencing the employment quality of graduates from D independent college.The results show that:school performance(scholarship,student party membership,student cadre)and family’s social capital have a significant positive impact on graduates’ choice of employment units;In terms of employment region,the location of the family has an impact on the employment direction of graduates,and the graduates living in small and medium-sized cities are more likely to migrate to small and medium-sized cities for employment.Students who obtain vocational qualification certificates in school prefer to work in small and medium-sized cities.D.The starting salary of graduates from independent colleges is higher than that of graduates from small cities;Male starting salary is higher than female;Major also has a significant impact on the starting salary level of graduates.The starting salary of graduates is in the order of science and technology,literature and history,and art.In terms of employment satisfaction,students who received full employment guidance during university and graduates from small cities have higher satisfaction after employment.Finally,based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the employment quality of graduates from independent colleges.
