Study On The Impact Of China’s Manufacturingoutward Foreign Direct Investment On Homecountry Employment

China’s outward foreign direct investment has been increasing continuously for many years,and the proportion of China’s manufacturing outward foreign direct investment has been rising year after year.At the same time,China’s economic growth has slowed down,the speed of economic transformation has accelerated,and the domestic employment problem is still not optimistic.The contradiction between the slowdown in economic growth and the increase in the number of labor has become increasingly prominent.The employment problem has become a problem that the government needs to solve urgently.This article uses the relevant theories of outward foreign direct investment,and it combines theoretical analysis and empirical research to study the impact of China’s manufacturing outward foreign direct investment on home country employment.In order to comprehensively study the impact of China’s manufacturing outward foreign direct investment on home country employment,this article analyzes from three aspects: employment scale,employment structure,and employment quality.Through the mechanism analysis,the influence path of manufacturing outward foreign direct investment on employment is introduced,and then the empirical analysis is conducted to study its specific impact on employment.The empirical part of the article uses empirical analysis of panel data related to manufacturing outward foreign direct investment and employment.The study found that China’s manufacturing OFDI has a significant impact on the scale of employment in the home country,of which the impact on the economically developed regions is higher than the impact on the less developed regions;China’s manufacturing OFDI has a significant impact on the employment structure.It has negative impact the employment of the first industry,and it has positive impact on the employment of the secondary and tertiary industries,and the employment promotion effect on the tertiary industry is greater than the employment promotion effect on the secondary industry;the outward direct investment of the manufacturing industry has an significant impact on the employment quality of the home country,with a positive overall impact,indicating that outward foreign direct investment from the manufacturing industry can improve the quality of employment in the home country.
