As a mental disorder,depression has become the second major disease threatening human physical and mental health and life safety after cardiovascular disease,which seriously threatens people’s mental health.As the main body of contemporary society,college students’ physical and mental health has been widely concerned by social groups.Because of the lack of mental health courses and the popularization of mental health in colleges and universities,depression accounts for a high proportion of college students.Many college students can not live normally or even affect physical and mental health.Because the traditional medicine has certain recurrence and limitation,it is easy to bring certain negative psychological influence to the patient.Many experts and scholars put forward that physical exercise has a certain positive effect on depression.The effects of different sports on depression were analyzed.This study conducted a self-rating scale(Self-rating depression scale)of depression among 600 students SDS public sports courses at Qingdao Agricultural University SDS)distribution,60 students with depression standard score above mild depression were selected for intervention experiment.Set up control groups,Taijiquan experimental group and aerobic jogging experimental group,twenty people in each group,eight weeks of exercise intervention,compare the groups,before the intervention,experimental data after four weeks of intervention and eight weeks after intervention,the effects of different sports on depression were analyzed and obtained.Experimental results showed that the difference between the three groups was not obvious before the experimental intervention(P>0.05),that is,the difference of depression level between the groups before the experiment was not obvious on the basis of statistics.The selected samples were homogeneous and statistically significant in depression level.Taijiquan intervention and aerobic jogging intervention had obvious remission and improvement on depression level of college students after eight weeks of intervention.After eight weeks of intervention SDS the standard score was significantly lower than that before intervention(P=0.012<0.05 P=0.012<0.05,P=0.000<0.05 after eight weeks of experiment,P=0.005<0.05 after four weeks of aerobic jogging experiment,P=0.003<0.05 after eight weeks of experiment).There was no significant difference in the standard score of depression before and after the experiment in the control group(P=0.358>0.05 after four weeks in the control group and P=0.282>0.05 after eight weeks in the experiment).To conclude that:1.Physical exercise intervention has a positive effect on the depression level of college students.After eight weeks of exercise intervention,the depression levels in both groups decreased significantly.2.Both Taijiquan intervention and aerobic jogging intervention significantly improved the depression level of college students.After four weeks and eight weeks of intervention,the depression level of the two groups was significantly lower than that of the two groups before intervention.3.Different duration of exercise intervention had different effects on depression level of college students.The difference between the two groups after four weeks of intervention was not obvious,but there was a significant downward trend.
