Research On The Application Of Experiential Learning In Social Work Training

In recent years,China has placed great importance on the development of social work and human resource development.Professional training of social workers is now an important part of talent development.With the deepening of local social work practice,it’s indispensable to innovate social work training mode,content and methods are indispensable.Social work training needs to combine the needs of social work practice development and the actual needs of front-line social workers.Traditional training has some shortcomings in the teaching mode.Lecturer is the main form of teaching,and little attention is paid to the dominant position of learners in the learning process.The teaching concept of experiential learning puts more emphasis on the initiative of learners and advocates the combination of experience and reflection.The interesting experience process can also increase the learners’ enthusiasm for learning.Currently,there are few practical studies on social work training.Firstly,the author expounds the consistency between the values and concepts of social work and experiential learning theory,and explains the feasibility of applying experiential learning to practical training of social work.Taking the X social work training project in Taicang City as an example,tthe author reconstructed the logical diagram of social work training on the basis of Kolb’s experiential learning theoretical model,include "establishment situation(practice)","actively guide(case teaching)","share feedback(instructor and student review)","knowledge restructuring(internalized learning)" four links.In order to verify the actual application effect of experiential learning in social work practice training,the author analyzed the results of the course effect survey questionnaire,and evaluates them from three dimensions: usefulness,course satisfaction and course investment.In addition,the author analyzes the stage of teaching and the strategy of training based on my own practice,and interprets the specific application and practice process in detail.The research shows that experiential learning model of social work training can enhance the effective communication between students,deepen their professional reflection,and has a positive significance in making up for the defects of traditional teaching model.Finally,the author analyzes the problems in this training practice and tries to put forward some own opinions.
