The Study On The Cultivation Of Local Social Work Talents From The Perspective Of Empowerment

At present,China’s demand for social work talents is increasingly increasing.At the same time,the loss of social workers and the shortage of professional talents is much more severe.The cultivation of China’s social work talents relies on the school’s specialized education and professional certification.The cultivated social work talents often encounter problems such as community integration obstacles and other problems when they carry out actual social services.As a result,the effective cultivation issues of local social workers have attracted more attention.This article aims to summarize and refine the nurturing paradigms and experiences of local social work talents that can be used for reference by analyzing the process of local social work talents fostered by relying on the project system.In this study,the “Maternal and Child Safe 120 Action” project of the Z Group Maternal and Child Health Project Department where the author had an internship was used as a case.Participants’ observations,literature reviews,and other methods were used to observe and sort out the project’s cultivation process of local social work talents.It adopts the theory of empowerment to analyze the cultivation process and its effectiveness of local social work talents in the project.Finally,it explores and proposes improvement methods of the project on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of its advantages and disadvantages through the process of cultivating the local social work talents,the operation process,and the research itself.The study finds that empowerment is permeated through the selection,training,and assessment of local social work talents,which is presented at three levels: individual empowerment,group empowerment,and organizational empowerment.In addition,while critically considering the project’s cultivation effect of local social work talents and project operation methods,this study believes that the project’s scientific design and management experience can be applied to other social service projects,and cultivating local social work talents through the project system is the third way to strengthen the social work talents team.
