| After the signing of a cultural cooperation agreement between China and Tanzania in 1962,China began to receive Tanzanian students.During the construction of the Tanzania Railway in 1972,the Tanzanian government sent 100 international students to North Jiaotong University(now Beijing Jiaotong University)in China to study. The non-recognition of Chinese degrees in Tanzania had a serious impact on the group of Tanzanian students studying in China. The holding of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum in October 2000 promoted the educational exchanges between China and Tanzania. With the development of cooperation between China and Tanzania in the field of education, the number of Tanzanian students studying in China has increased, and the recognition of Chinese degrees in Tanzania has been More and more attention. This article discusses the current status of Chinese degree recognition, analyzes the challenges faced by Chinese degree recognition in Tanzania, and proposes targeted suggestions and countermeasures.By referring to the training manuals of the relatively concentrated universities in Tanzania for foreign students in China and the related research of predecessors, this paper has formulated a questionnaire for the three target groups of Tanzanian students, parents of foreign students and corporate employers who come to China to study for the Chinese degrees-" Survey on the recognition of Chinese degrees in Tanzania".The questionnaire specifically decomposes "degree recognition" into four dimensions:comprehensive ability, professional knowledge, professional skills, and physical fitness.SPSS 26.0 is used to analyze the data collected in the questionnaire using Cronbach’s coefficient analysis,KMO index and Bartlett’s sphere test for reliability After the test, descriptive statistics and analysis of variance are used to explore the recognition of Chinese degrees by the three major target groups in Tanzania. The questionnaire data analysis and interview results show that the recognition of comprehensive ability, professional knowledge, and professional skills cultivated by Chinese degree is relatively high, but the recognition of physical fitness is relatively low.In addition, research has found that there are three major challenges in gaining recognition from the three major target groups in Tanzania:First, the overall recognition is high, and the recognition of individual dimensions is low;Second, there is a deviation in the matching of comprehensive ability, professional knowledge, professional skills and personal needs;Third, the lack of physical fitness training programs for masters and doctors has led to a low degree of recognition of physical fitness for Chinese degrees. In response to the above challenges, this article puts forward three suggestions:First, optimize the combination of the advantages and disadvantages of China’s degree development;Second, improve the suitability of comprehensive ability, professional knowledge, professional skills and personal needs;Third, improve the physical fitness training program for international students and increase the overall recognition of Chinese degrees. |
