Research On The Status Quo And Intervention Of Higher Vocational Colleges Students’ Procrastination

Procrastination behaviors are common among college students in our country,and serious procrastination behaviors will cause adverse effects on college students’ study and life.Previous studies mainly focused on the delays and interventions of students in ordinary undergraduate colleges,while students in higher vocational colleges and ordinary undergraduate colleges have common procrastination problems.This study uses questionnaires to investigate the current situation of procrastination behaviors of college students in vocational colleges,analyzes the relationship between procrastination,self-management and achievement motivation,studies the influence mechanism of college students’ procrastination in vocational colleges,and designs and develops a reduction in procrastination among college students in vocational colleges.Behavioral Group Counseling Intervention Research,obtained the following results:(1)The total procrastination score of college students in higher vocational colleges is 2.22 points,which is in the middle level overall.The procrastination level is lower than the procrastination level of ordinary undergraduate college students studied previously.(2)There are significant differences in variables such as gender,place of birth,major,whether or not they have served as a class leader,grade,and grades;there is no significant difference in the variables of whether or not they are only children.(3)The achievement motivation of college students in higher vocational colleges is significantly positively correlated with self-management,achievement motivation is significantly negatively correlated with procrastination,and self-management and its dimensions are significantly negatively correlated with procrastination.(4)Cognitive management,behavior management and time management play multiple mediating roles in the influence of achievement motivation on procrastination.(5)Group psychological counseling has a timely and continuous effect on the reduction of the procrastination level of college students in higher vocational colleges.
