Eriksson divided the school age and adolescence of personality and social psychological development into: Diligent to inferiority and self identity to role confusion,when students from school age transition to adolescence,especially into secondary schools,their sense of self clearly deepened,at this time,they not only began to pay attention to themselves,but also with other people for a variety of comparisons,and the inner feelings often feel a lot of conflict,self-abasement also began to come out.Self-abasement leads to psychological pressure of students,which easily causes students to escape or retreat,and even makes students go to extremes.During this period,whether the students can adjust their mentality and make up their own shortcomings positively is of great significance for them to acquire and form a healthy personality.Based on the Adler Inferiority Compensation Theory,this study initially compiled the Inferiority Compensation Scale for Junior High School Students,and standardized it.Secondly,the author surveyed and analyzed the actuality of inferiority compensation for junior high school students,and verified the discrepancy in demographic variables.Thirdly,The software analyzes the influence of two strategies of emotion regulation and inferiority compensation on inferiority and self-efficacy.Finally,a case interview was used to conduct a qualitative study,further validate and explain the results of previous studies.The results of the study are as follows:(1)The scale includes two dimensions: self compensation and others compensation.The verification factors of the scale indicate that its structural model has a good fit and good reliability and validity.(2)Junior middle school students’ self-abasement compensation is above middle level.There were no significant differences in sex,household registration and only-child status,but significant differences in grades,grades and family income.(3)Cognitive reappraisal and self-abasement compensation play a chain-mediated role in the relationship between self-abasement and self-efficacy;Multi-purpose comparison found that the mediation model of inferiority and self-efficacy of junior high school students with different genders,grades and grades are inconsistent.(4)The consequences of the interview supplemented and explained the previous scale consequences.The higher the degree of inferiority,the lower the level of cognitive reappraisal and self-abased compensation;the positive emotional and appropriate compensation behavior can improve self-efficacy,reduce the sense of inferiority,and maintain their mental health.
