Physical education in China under the premise of the background of deepening teaching reform,in view of the ordinary university public body volleyball class exist some disadvantages in traditional teaching methods,we will moss reciprocal type teaching method used in the ordinary university volleyball class male body,makes every effort to highlight student’s main body status,stimulate students’ interest in practice,strengthen the supervision in the process of teaching,cultivate students’ exercise habits,ultimately achieve the goal of improving the quality of teaching.Based on the theoretical basis of Morston reciprocity teaching method,this paper adopts research methods such as literature review,expert interview,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics,and teaching experiment.With 68 undergraduates from two elective classes of public sports volleyball of Grade 2019 in Guangzhou Institute of Technology as experimental subjects,the teaching experiment is carried out for 16 weeks.This paper mainly studies the advantages and disadvantages of Morston reciprocity teaching method compared with traditional teaching method in terms of students’ physical form,physical quality,volleyball lesson learning situation and basic skills of volleyball,so as to provide reference for the reform and improvement of the teaching method of public sports volleyball lesson in colleges and universities as well as the improvement of the teaching quality of this course.The experimental results show that:(1)Neither the Morston reciprocity teaching method nor the traditional teaching method has much effect on the body shape of the students.Both the reciprocal teaching method and the traditional teaching method are beneficial to the improvement of students’ physical quality and there is no obvious difference in the extent of improvement.(2)Compared with the traditional teaching method,Morston reciprocity teaching method has a more positive effect on the learning interest,learning attitude,participation motivation and cooperation ability of the students in public sports volleyball class in ordinary colleges and universities.(3)Both the traditional teaching method and the Morston reciprocity teaching method are helpful to improve the basic skills of the students in the public sports volleyball course in ordinary colleges and universities.In comparison,the effect of the Morston reciprocity teaching method is more significant.
