In 2021,according to the forecast of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security,the elderly population in China will exceed 300 million during the 14th Five-Year Plan period,and China will develop from mild aging to moderate aging.With the deepening of aging in China,the problems faced by retired elderly people are increasing day by day.The state has formulated many policies and regulations to help retired elderly people adapt to the role transformation.There are many discomforts in the process of role transformation of retired elderly people,which will produce negative emotions such as confusion,loss of value and irritability of inaction.Transformative learning theory can provide effective theoretical guidance for adult learning,help retired elderly people to understand themselves and overcome their role dilemma in the process of role transformation.This study takes the role transformation of retired elderly people from the perspective of transformative learning as the core.It adopts the narrative inquiry method,selects five elderly people who retire from different positions,collects the original interview data through long-term in-depth interviews,and uses the bottom-up linear text analysis method to process and explain the interview data in depth with the strategy mode of "content —category" and "whole — part ".The results show the things below.Firstly,the role transformation of retired elderly people from the perspective of transformative learning mainly includes four stages: The first stage is the role dilemma,retired elderly people will breed corresponding learning needs.The next stage is promote role expectation through critical reflection.In the third stage,named role remodeling,retired elderly people will plan,act and formulate learning strategies and new roles will be created in role reshaping stage.Secondly,the transformative learning in the role transformation of the retired elderly presents five characteristics:firstly,the retired elderly have rich and valuable work experience and life experience,and their transformative learning is empirical in the role transformation;secondly,the retired elderly will critically reflect in the role transformation,thus forming new ideas;thirdly,in the role transformation of the retired elderly,transformative learning can help them to generate new knowledge,acquire new skills,change new ideas,generative characteristics are obvious;fourthly,the retired elderly in the process of role transformation communicate with others to acquire new knowledge,learning presents situational characteristics;fifthly,retired people pay great attention to emotional experience in their study,they will pay more attention to their emotional changes.Finally,there are some problems in the role transformation of retired elderly:firstly,in the initial dilemma,the learning needs are not clear;secondly,in the process of exploration,it is easy to disconnect from practice because of critical reflection;thirdly,In the process of planning and action,the appropriate learning strategies can’t be used correctly.Fourthly,in the process of role formation,the understanding of the role is not in place,learning significance is not meaningful enough.On the base of the above research,to better play to the theoretical value of the qualitative study,retired people realize the positive transformation,this study from the perspective of individual and external put forward the following strategies: from retiree,personal point of view,first of all,should focus on their own learning needs,accurate positioning for targeted overcome role needs.Secondly,set up a clear learning goal to promote reflective learning.Thirdly,choose diversified strategies,from better planning and action.Finally,develop interactive learning and actively "go out" to discover and explore the meaning of new roles.From the external perspective:on the one hand,the society needs to create a good learning atmosphere,and major learning organizations for the elderly should provide targeted help for the qualitative change learning of the retired.On the other hand,as the main place for retired people to live,family members should support the study of retired people,provide care and care,and help them to complete transformative learning so as to better complete the role transformation. |
