Accounting Manual Simulation Training is an indispensable course for accounting majors in secondary vocational schools.It is closely related to the reality and lets students transform theoretical knowledge they have learned into practical abilities.As the economic environment of the society develops continuously,accounting tasks in enterprises are becoming increasingly diversified,which should lead to the adjustment in the teaching system of this course to meet the needs of today’s accounting job positions.Therefore,the teaching reform of the Accounting Manual Simulation Training course in secondary vocational schools should be imperatively studied.In order to search for new teaching methods which can be effectively applied to this course,we firstly studied relating literature and understood the connotations,implementation steps,and theoretical bases of action-oriented teaching methods.Secondly,we made surveys to investigate the present status of the Accounting Manual Simulation Training course,and summarized several deficiencies in the teaching system from the surveys.Thirdly,we pointed out that these deficiencies can be well-directedly made up under the application of action-oriented teaching methods.On this basis,an overall teaching design for the Accounting Manual Simulation Training course based on these teaching methods was carried out,including establishing the teaching design principles corresponding to the theoretical bases of the teaching methods,which serves as a general outline of the design;rearranging all the teaching objectives and contents to fit the situation-oriented principle;and designing the whole teaching process of the course in detail according to the “six-step” formulation of the teaching methods.Furthermore,a specific part of the course was selected to serve as an example of the teaching design—the concrete case design,the teaching organization form was given,and the implementation was carried out in the class where the author participated in the pedagogical practice to clarify the concrete implementation means to apply action-oriented teaching methods,and to test the effect of this application.Finally,we came to the conclusion that action-oriented teaching methods are suitable for the Accounting Manual Simulation Training course,namely can promote teaching effects,by means of the investigation of students’ learning effects after the implementation.It is therefore worth further developing means to spread the application of these teaching methods in the course,which helps students exercise key abilities,achieve accounting professionalism,and become financial workers more in line with today’s employment requirements.
