| Today,with the Internet penetration rate increasing year by year,as the main force of the use of the Internet,the youth group is more and more faced with the problem of excessive use of the Internet.Teenagers are in the transition period of physical and mental changes and development,with weak self-control,and excessive use of the Internet is likely to lead to Internet addiction.Improving self-control can be done from both internal and external aspects.On the one hand,a higher level of social support can prevent teenagers from compulsive Internet use and reduce their overuse of the Internet.On the other hand,the cultivation of perseverance,improve the adolescent’s emotion,behavior and thinking control,is also conducive to curb the adolescent’s network dependence psychology.This paper attempts to study the effects of social support and personal persistence on compulsive Internet use in adolescents,so as to form constructive Suggestions for preventing and mitigating the behaviors of adolescents with Internet addiction.This study used questionnaire to investigate the social support,compulsive Internet use and perseverance of 1761 students aged from 11 to 18 years old in three middle schools in Changsha city.The independent sample T test,one-way variance analysis,correlation analysis and PROCESS mediating effect analysis were used for statistical analysis,and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)There was a significant positive correlation between social support and grit,and a significant negative correlation between grit and compulsive network behavior.(2)Persistence is partly mediating between social support and compulsive Internet use;(3)The mediating pathway of social support through persistence in compulsive Internet behavior is mediated by age: the predictive effect of persistence on compulsive Internet use in adolescents is more significant in older adolescents than in younger adolescents. |
