This study investigated 929 secondary vocational students from Fuzhou area in Fujian Province,and made an analysis of data by SPSS23.0.For one thing,the paper investigated the current situation and demographic variables of parenting style,emotional intelligence,career self-concept and career adaptability of secondary vocational students.For another,the relationship among parenting style,emotional intelligence,career self-concept and career adaptability was discussed.It provides a favorable reference value for further enriching the research content of Chinese career education and promoting the career development of secondary vocational students.The conclusions of this study are as follows:Firstly,the parents’ refusal and over-protection of secondary vocational school students’ parenting style were in the lower-middle level,the emotional warmth of their parents was in the upper-middle level,and there were significant differences in the dimensions of parenting styles of secondary vocational school students in terms of gender,grade,only child or not,and parents’ educational level;Emotional intelligence was in the upper-middle level,and there were significant differences in gender,birthplace,only child or not,and parents’ educational level;Career self-concept was in the upper-middle level,and there were significant differences in gender,grade,birthplace,only child or not,parents’ education level;Career adaptability was in the upper-middle level,and there were significant differences in gender,only child or not and parents’ educational level.Secondly,there was a significant negative correlation between parental rejection and emotional intelligence and career adaptability,and a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence,career self-concept and career adaptability.There was a significant positive correlation between parents’ emotional warmth,emotional intelligence and career self-concept and career adaptability,and there was a positive correlation between father over-protection and career adaptability.Thirdly,parents’ refusal had a significant negative predictive effect on emotional intelligence and career self-concept,and parents’ emotional warmth had a significant positive predictive effect on emotional intelligence and career self-concept.Emotional intelligence and career self-concept had significant positive predictive effects on career adaptability,respectively.Fourthly,emotional intelligence and career self-concept played a parallel intermediary role between parents’ emotional warmth and secondary vocational students’ career adaptability,emotional intelligence and career self-concept played a parallel intermediary role between mother’s refusal and secondary vocational students’ career adaptability.
