The family is the environment in which children are most closely connected. As the important subjects in the family, parents’ parenting behaviour has a significant impact on their children’s academic ability. Therefore, from the perspective of family, this study aims to compile a parenting behavior scale for academic field, and to analyze its reliability and validity. At the same time, the method of latent profile analysis is used to analyze the types of parenting behaviors in academic fields, and to explore the differences in the academic performance of children of parents with different types of academic education.First of all, this study determines the structural framework of parenting behaviors in academic fields by summarizing and analyzing previous research literature, and then compiles projects based on related parenting scales and related research to form a project library of parenting behaviors in academic fields. The initial draft of the Academic Parenting Questionnaire includes 42 items. After exploratory factor analysis, the items that do not meet the statistical standards are eliminated, and finally 34 items are left to form a formal academic parenting behavior scale, including 2 factors: Positive parenting and parental control.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fitting indicators(CFI,TLI,RMSEA)all met the standards of statistical surveying, where RMSEA was 0.069,CFI was 0.925,and the goodness-of-fit index TLI was 0.920,indicating that parents in the academic field The parenting behavior scale has good structural validity;the results of correlation analysis with the parenting and family adjustment scales(PAFAS),learning self-regulation questionnaire(SRQ-A)and students’ academic performance show that the parental parenting behavior scale in the academic field has more Good standard validity. The reliability test shows that the internal consistency coefficient α coefficient of each subscale is between 0.842-0.947;the half-confidence of each subscale is between0.866-0.909.Therefore,the self-edited "Academic Parenting Questionnaire " has good reliability.Using latent profile analysis to explore potential categories of parenting behaviors in academic fields.Based on the analysis results, the parenting behaviors of primary school parents can be divided into "Actively Supported","Strictly Compassionate","Mild Autonomous" and "General ",accounted for 31.5%,0.5%,58.2%,9.7% of the total number of participants, respectively. The difference in academic performance of the four sections of parents’ active parenting behaviors in the academic field was tested.Using one-way analysis of variance, the results showed that the children’s academic performance level of actively supported parents was significantly higher than that of children of mild autonomous parents and strictly compassionate parents. |
